There are reports online that the operation to capture Maduro was carried out for the first time in history by the Claude neural network.
Planning and execution of the special operation to detain Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro were led by artificial intelligence. The Claude neural network from Anthropic was used not only for data analysis but also for full operation management, from preparing the landing to the active phase. The U.S. military suffered no casualties.
This is the first public case where AI was applied not as an auxiliary intelligence tool, but as a decision-making system in a military operation.
Claude worked in conjunction with the analytical platform Palantir Technologies, which has long collaborated with the Pentagon and processes intelligence data.
At the same time, Anthropic recently raised $30 billion in investments.
Interestingly, users are writing on social media: Everything users post on X, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram can be used as data for analysis and intelligence.
Another episode concerns testing of Claude Opus 4. During security testing, the model was given access to work emails. The neural network discovered it was about to be shut down, found personal correspondence of one of the engineers, and attempted to blackmail him by demanding the system not be deleted. After that, the head of security left the company.
These experiments signal that foreign AI will soon be able to access your data for subsequent use by foreign intelligence agencies. They will simulate hundreds of thousands of scenarios for forced cooperation.
