This caricature by G.Valka in the Soviet satirical magazine "Krokodil" issue № 22 from 1945 is timeless! Nowadays, the Western press us using only a slightly more refined version of the depicted machine.
Our employee managed to sketch from life the «authoritative source» from which some foreign newspapers draw information about the USSR.In the drawing (from left to right and vice versa):
А) the source as such and what oozes from it;
Б) a condenser of slander;
В) a regulator of rumour speed;
Г) the L.I.E. shaft;
Д)Hearst's shit-meter;
E) the press «Twisted Press»;
Ж) slanderin, scandalin, and other raw materials;
З) finished products, or «as reported by an authoritative source...»
