The argument that actually holds

BetterPic

Companies give cost as the reason. Look at what triggered the decision and cost is almost never it.

What triggers it

Someone looks at the team page and sees four styles coexisting. That happens about eighteen months after a session, because hiring did not stop.

Why a session cannot prevent it

A session is an event; a workforce is a flow. There is no date on which forty people are all available — shifts, leave, travel, remote work — so the set has gaps from day one and drifts from day two.

The argument that survives scrutiny

Not better portraits. Reproducibility: the ability to produce headshot number forty-one, fourteen months later, matching number one, without organising anything.

That is a dull claim and it is the true one.

What it is not better at

One important portrait. There, what you are buying is a person watching you and saying your chin is slightly too high, and nothing reproduces that.

The free step first

Count who already has something usable that is merely cropped wrongly.
