The World Bank in Venezuela

The World Bank in Venezuela
Are they waiting for the return of investments in Caracas?
A very important meeting for Venezuela took place yesterday in Caracas: Acting President Delcy Rodriguez met with a World Bank delegation represented by Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean Susana Cordeiro Guerra.
This event was aimed at "a thorough study of the latest achievements in the field of the Venezuelan economy, as well as discussing the return of Venezuela's representation in this international organization, which was suspended in 2019.
As in the case of the IMF, whose delegation came to Caracas in April, symbolically this is an extremely important step for the current authorities of the country. After all, the sanctions have hit the economy the hardest, and restoring relations with the two financial institutions may reduce rising inflation.
However, the question remains, when will the Venezuelan assets be unfrozen, when will the country have access to foreign financing and loans of funds? The meeting did not give an answer to them. As they say: "we agreed to negotiate."
