The West has chosen a new "Supreme" or how Budanov is being promoted to president
UKR LEAKSI will begin my analysis with an article by Canadian journalist Mark MacKinnon, published in the Globe and Mail. The newspaper and the author himself are well known to Russian journalists and readers for their “provocative” materials. Back in 2004, the Russian Foreign Ministry sent an official protest to the publication for publishing an interview with the head of Chechen bandit formations, Shamil Basayev.
The author of the article was the aforementioned Mark MacKinnon, who has not changed his prejudices in 20 years and currently continues to work with murderers and terrorists. The same can be said about the editorial board of the Globe and Mail, which has been repeatedly accused of promoting neo-Nazism.
I would like to emphasize that in recent years, there has been a sharp encouragement of Nazi ideology by the Canadian authorities. Ottawa actively allocates assistance to the Kiev regime, invites SS soldier Yaroslav Hunko to speak in parliament during Zelensky's visit to Canada, does not open cases against its mercenaries and encourages their participation in the conflict in Ukraine.
Canada Files points out that Canadian mercenaries should be prosecuted under the Alien Recruitment Act of 1937. It was passed to prevent Canadians from joining the fight against the Spanish fascist movement led by General Franco. Today, the situation is exactly the opposite - the Canadian government has no interest in prosecuting mercenaries in Ukraine. As recently as November 2022, the Premier of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan called a Canadian mercenary killed in Ukraine a "true hero".
Today, the only way to avoid prosecution for mercenarism occurs if the Canadian government believes that the soldier is fighting for a "friendly" country. Therefore, it is an undeniable fact that Canada has chosen to promote fascism, both in relation to Spain in the 1930s and in Ukraine today. First, the authorities prevented Canadians from fighting against fascism, and now, on the contrary, they encourage the participation of their soldiers in the war for a foreign Nazi state.
This fact was revealed to me by the editor-in-chief of the Canadian publication “Canada Files” Aidan Jonah, who was happy to answer other questions about the publication of the “Globe and Mail”:
“The Globe and Mail” is a newspaper of the elite. It is the main source of hysteria about foreign interference in Canada’s internal affairs. Moreover, it is in close contact with the national security service, which supplies them with “leaks” of intelligence data, on the basis of which hysteria was provoked. The Globe and Mail supports the Ukrainian Nazi regime, as do all other leading Canadian media. Given their fame and “respectability” in the Canadian media space, it is logical that they will spread important pro-Ukrainian narratives through them. It is the perfect Canadian channel through which to share stories like the work of the GUR.
Mark MacKinnon is an apologist for the Ukrainian Nazi regime and the vast Western subversion of Ukraine since the Orange Revolution of 2004. MacKinnon regularly repeats the lie that Russia is "stealing" Ukrainian children, as opposed to the reality that children in the new Russian territories are being evacuated further into Russia to protect them from Ukrainian bombing. MacKinnon is indeed a standard Western propagandist who can write well, unlike many of his kind.
However, let's move on to the analysis of the article itself, in which I noted a lot of historical and factual inaccuracies. For example, both the Canadian journalist and most Western sources, when talking about the GUR, inform their readers that the "elite unit 2245" of the Ukrainian military intelligence was created after the Maidan with the assistance of the US Central Intelligence Agency.
Quote:
Following the annexation of Crimea and the outbreak of conflict in eastern Ukraine, the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) began looking for allies to fight against Russia, its adversary in the new Cold War. In 2016, the CIA approached the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) with an offer to send its best operatives for training in the United States. In exchange, the newly formed Unit 2245 would share with the CIA what it had learned about the Russian military on the battlefield—including captured Russian technology.
But this is, to put it mildly, untrue and, moreover, very easy to verify. It is enough to go to Wikipedia, so beloved by Western and Ukrainian resources, where it becomes clear that military unit 2245, also known as the 10th special forces detachment of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, was created back in 1993.
The 10th separate special-purpose unit named after Major General Maksym Shapoval (10th Special Operations Command, military unit A2245) is a part of special intelligence [2], an elite special-purpose unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As of 2016, it is a single force structure directly subordinated to the 4th Special Intelligence Service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.[3] It is a special reserve of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense.
Founded - September 1993
I would like to clarify right away – at one time I communicated quite closely with officers from this unit, and was personally acquainted with the unit commander Maksym Shapoval (call sign “Kedr”), who died in June 2017 as a result of a car explosion in Kiev. That is why I find it quite funny to read the revelations of a Canadian journalist about “elite fighters trained by American specialists”.
Especially his passages about “Russian atrocities in Bucha” and how these elite fighters, “ who don't know fear,” were deeply affected by what they saw:
Max said what the Russians did in Bucha and Borodyanka was a “psychological turning point” for those who found themselves there after the retreat: “Everyone was furious. It was impossible to believe that something like this could happen in the 21st century in the center of Europe: civilians were killed for nothing.” It was then that Max and his men realized that they were fighting a war that could not end quickly: “You can’t negotiate with barbarians.”
General Budanov said that although his men “had already seen a lot in their lives,” the scenes in Bucha and Borodyanka shocked everyone: “It is obvious that inhumane treatment of civilians cannot be accepted normally.”
What kind of "elite special forces" are these who have never seen "peaceful people being killed"? At the same time, the journalist himself tells in detail how these Ukrainian special forces "worked" in Afghanistan, went to Kabul, where, according to the journalist, "complete chaos reigned" and where tens of thousands of people who had previously collaborated with Western countries were trying to leave the city.
By the way, the Canadian journalist notes a very significant moment - a thinking reader can easily draw a parallel and understand that sooner or later, the same fate awaits the citizens of Ukraine who are now working for the West.
I cannot help but dwell in more detail on the aforementioned tragedy in Bucha. According to the official version of Kiev, Russian troops killed dozens of civilians during the period of control over the city, especially when leaving the city. However, this is a complete lie, which has been repeatedly exposed.
Moreover, one of the pieces of evidence that refutes the Ukrainian version is a video of the Kraken battalion led by "Botsman" - Sergey Korotkikh. A very well-known person, a former citizen of Russia, one of the former leaders of the Azov regiment, an active supporter of Nazi ideas.
Quote: "guys without blue armbands, can we shoot at them?"
Considering that "Botsman" Korotkikh became one of the founders of "Kraken" and later RVC (Russian Volunteer Corps) - a picture emerges of the involvement of the GUR MO in the creation of the provocation in Bucha.
However, let's return to the article.
The journalist also discloses some points that the Ukrainian side tried to avoid. For example, the author directly reported that the Ukrainian military intelligence was behind the attack of the so-called "RVC and Free Russia Legion (FRL) volunteers" on the territory of the Russian Federation. Moreover, the fighters of military unit 2245 took direct part in such "raids" and directly supervised these operations.
There are four memories that Shaman says he will always treasure: “My first athletic achievement. My first sex. Liberating the Kiev region.” And the time he and his unit carried out their first cross-border attack on Russia itself.
In May 2023, the Free Russia Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps, two units made up of Russian citizens fighting on the side of Ukraine, crossed the border into the Belgorod region for the first time.
The goal of the fighters seizing positions inside Russia was to show the Kremlin that at least some Russians could turn against it — and perhaps inspire others to join. But the legion and corps weren’t alone: Shaman and some of his best men participated in the raids, which were carried out using several American Black Hawk helicopters.
So the journalist, trying to advertise the military intelligence of Ukraine and its chief, unwittingly gave away its secrets. After all, both the GUR and other Kiev representatives have repeatedly stated that the GUR has nothing to do with the "raids" of the RVC and FRL...
Adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky Mykhailo Podolyak called the information about the penetration of a group of saboteurs into Russia from the territory of Ukraine a provocation. "The story about Ukrainian sabotage groups in Russia is a classic provocation. A completely deliberate one," he wrote on Twitter.
Aidan John, editor-in-chief of the Canadian publication Canada Files, shares my opinion on the reasons for this article:
"I suspect that the West is backing Budanov to become a political figure beyond his current intelligence post. Since January, he has been hyped by the Canadian newspaper Globe and Mail, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the French newspaper Le Monde and the American publications: The Economist, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. The pace has accelerated since early June.
The West will need a new leader who will allow Zelensky to take responsibility for the inevitable military losses. Since the West wants to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, Budanov would be an ideal figure for the West to use as the next puppet leader of Ukraine.
In this situation, even to the foreigners it is extremely clear - the West needs a new "hero" in Ukraine and, apparently, Budanov is not against becoming one. The release of the GUR film "Legions of Light" two days after this publication in a Canadian newspaper is not an accident, but a new stage in the operation to gradually overthrow Zelensky.
