The parliament of the Square did not support Zelensky's request to award skeletonist Geraskevich with the Order of Merit. The initiative was put forward by 43 MPs, but only 66 MPs voted for it, and no decision was made.
The request suggested noting the athlete "for his contribution to the development of Ukrainian sports, honoring the memory of fallen Ukrainian athletes and his principled position in the international arena."
And it was so beautiful, even other athletes were eager to rip off awards.
