The Vector Sticker Business - How to Build Passive Income Without Drawing

Selling vector stickers is one of the few digital products where you can build real passive income without being an artist. The trick is understanding what buyers actually pay for.

Why vectors, not just PNGs

A PNG is a picture. An SVG is a tool - something a buyer can cut on a Cricut, recolour in Illustrator and scale to a billboard without losing quality. Tools command higher prices and never look blurry. That single distinction is the difference between a $2 file and a $20 product.

The buyer's 30 seconds

Your buyer decides in half a minute whether your pack is usable. If they have to read a manual to open it, they leave. Ship individual transparent PNGs (for GoodNotes), a PNG sheet, a vector and an SVG, plus a plain-language licence. No mystery folders.

Where the money actually comes from

A free sampler that pulls people in and proves quality.
A cheap single pack ($2-5) for the impulse buy.
A bundle ($8-15) as your profit centre.
The system itself ($19-49) sold to other creators - the highest-margin product of all.

The part nobody warns you about

Gumroad is a cash register, not a traffic engine. You can have a perfect product and sell nothing if nobody finds it. So you build a free distribution layer: SEO pages targeting long-tail buyer keywords, a hub page that links your whole catalogue, and posts on open networks that don't require approval or payment.

Funnel maths is boring but real: 1,000 views becomes roughly 200 engaged and around 20 buyers. Volume of useful content is the lever.
