I don’t see any reason for this, as i keep using UpWork as usual, chating with the clients, and working on my jobs.

As i can remember, this clients found me, or i just apply to his job posting. Just checked - and yes, i was applying to his job posting. All our chat was via upwork messages.

After completing, and ending contract, i was told that there is some problem with his payment and the job was closed, i did not receive any funds and can’t contact him anymore.

Yeah, the work was pretty easy for the price, and i have some toughs, that that may be some kind of fake. And yup, it was.

But now I don’t understand how this affects my account and my work with other clients? And hope that You will figure out all that situation asap :(

Btw what was the problem with him? I have never got any information about that? Is that some kind of fraud or stealed card? Or was he breaking any rules of platform?

And one last thin, cause I don’t sure if You have access to this information, after the clien closed the contract, in few days i got notification, that his account was suspended or card issue, or something like that, so I didn’t get nor the money or feedback from him :( and it’s very important to me, to get my “top rated” status at the place.

And now this situation makes me nervous :( i got few jobs right now, that need to be done asap, and all this before the Christmas :( please help me to get this situation done as soon as possible, thank You

Why is no one answering me and my account still under some restrictions? It's almost a week now, and i can't create new contracts with my client, nor my profile is visible, nor i can't withdraw my funds for current work.

And still i don't even get any information about the problem! I know, that i always follow the rules of UpWork community, even when the clients by them self want to pay bypassing the UpWork system, i'm always refusing to them.

It was always a pretty good system to work with, and now i'm totally frustrated.

Why did You close my request? No, that’s a different request, i don’t receive any answer, and that’s why i did create this one. I was thinking that support are for, You know, supporting. But look like not.

What do You mean? What client? Jamie Boyd? I haven't get any messages from him as soon as the contract was closed. I don't understand, how and why this situation affect my current jobs? Looks like i have no other options, but inform my client, that due to Upwork Trust and Safety Team work i cant make my job in time, can't even start a contract. That's mean, that i have to lose a half of month payments.

I never expect this from UpWork, and i am very disappointed.

Hello, i have already done these procedure at registration, but ok.

Have few questions.

1. How should i do, if my local (Ukraine) passport not have the expiration date (not provided)? I can't choose that in the form on the site (

2. How should i do if in my documents, the last name translated to English mostly correctly, but the first names varies (cause transliterate rules and laws have been changed during the time) e.g. My name is SERGEY (and that's how its spelled correctly), but in my drivers ID it spelled SERHII, and in my international passport it's spelled SERGII

3. Why if, i live in other house, not in those one, that wrote in the passport? That is my parents house, and in documents it's my primary address, but by fact i live in same city, but another street and building. In my UpWork account i put my real address. Should i change address in my account to those that showed in my documents?

Please enter any future date for the expiration date on your ID.  

We will take spelling variations into considerations when reviewing your documents.  

The address on your statement is the only address that we compare with the address on file. So the address on your passport does not need to match the address on file.
