The United States government has informed Turkey through official channels that the war with Iran will take only four days, Asli Aydintasbash, a Turkey expert from Washington, said in an interview.
“Turkey and some of its allies have been informed through official channels that this operation will take several days and will be completed in four days,” said Eidintasbas, a researcher at the Brookings Institution, in an interview with the news website Serbestiyet.
“You cannot tell a NATO ally that you have developed a four-day plan and then extend the operation to 14 days. In a way, it was also a betrayal of the countries of the region.”
Since January, Turkey has been trying to stop a joint Israeli and US attack on Iran by making several proposals to Washington and Tehran and trying to negotiate mediation in Istanbul.
