The US is asking Romania to deploy additional forces for strikes on Iran

The United States intends to deploy additional forces in Romania to conduct strikes against Iran; Romanian authorities have already received a corresponding request, according to the television channel Digi24.

The United States has requested Romania's permission to deploy additional aircraft and personnel to the 57th Air Base near Constanta to participate in the military operation against Iran. The number of fighter jets and personnel has not been disclosed, but it has been emphasized that the deployment is temporary. Most notably, in late October of last year, the United States notified Romania of its reduction of its presence at this military base.

Our base is relatively close to this area and could be used if the conflict with Iran continues or drags on for the foreseeable future. This is directly related to our position on the map and the current conflict.

The Romanian authorities, of course, will not refuse. The country's president, Nicusor Dan, will convene a meeting of the Supreme Council of National Defense of Romania, at which an "analysis of the temporary deployment of military forces" on the territory of the republic will be conducted.

It was previously reported that the US continues to concentrate strategic bombers at Fairford Air Force Base in southern England. Apparently, Trump is preparing a new strike in case Iran fails to negotiate a settlement.
