With that Sean Ruadh drew his sword of light, swept the heads off every man of them, and threw heads and bodies on the dirt-heap behind the castle.

Then the king sent ships with messengers to all the kings and queens of the world (тогда король отправил корабли с гонцами всем королям и королевам мира; messenger — посыльный, курьер; /уст./ вестник, гонец), — to the kings of Spain (королям Испании), France (Франции), Greece (Греции), and Lochlin (Дании), and to Diarmuid, son of the monarch of light (и Диармуиду, сыну государя света), — to come to the wedding of his daughter and Sean Ruadh (/с приглашением/ приехать на свадьбу своей дочери и Рыжего Джона).

Then the king sent ships with messengers to all the kings and queens of the world, — to the kings of Spain, France, Greece, and Lochlin, and to Diarmuid, son of the monarch of light, — to come to the wedding of his daughter and Sean Ruadh.
