While Basara, Mio, and Yuki have picked up their seemingly ordinary lives, they were attacked by magic-wielding humans when preparing for the upcoming sports event. Basara tries to become stronger by strengthening the testament when Rukia, Maria's sister, suddenly appears. Unknowingly, the war deciding the future of the demon realm has started.
You should know exactly what to expect based off season 1 and there isn't tons more to say that my Review for Season 1 hasn't covered. There is a major difference though and that is that there is more of a story. The starting is kind of slow and boring but it it gets interesting around halfway through as the focus is on Mio and the demon realm. This also shifts the focus from constant scenes of forced sexual content to an action theme heavily aimed at fighting as the episodes progress. Once the time came for this, it longer felt like an anime that was all about the sexual content that it so frequently relied on, but more like an anime with a story that didn't have its mind on sex as a priority.
The rest is the same formula as Season 1 so refer to the link below. There are some additional characters from the demon realm, but not really significant to be worth mentioning. I would also say there are slightly better looking visuals. and that the music was great, at least during all the action scenes.
Watch this if you liked the first season as I would say it is a bit better, avoid if you did not like it, or just skip to episode 7/8 for the heavy action episodes.

the story has so much potential. they should make more of this.. so many ways for the story to evolve. One of my best anime.
my reviews are straightforward. I watch anime to escape and if a series give that feeling then the overall rating of that series to me is at least 7/10. This anime does that and more. the other thing that affects my review is how many times can I watch the series and I can still escape and not be bored
Animation and sound problem are not really important to me. The storyline and the character development are excellent, that is all I care about.
It's true that story could've been done in many other way, although i liked it this way too.Overall i really enjoyed it and i could watch it again without a problem.

The Testament of Sister New Devil ( Japanese : 新妹魔王の 契約者 ( テスタメント ) , Hepburn : Shinmai Maō no Tesutamento ) is a Japanese light novel series written by Tetsuto Uesu and illustrated by Nekosuke Ōkuma. Thirteen volumes have been published by Kadokawa Shoten since 2012 under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Shōnen Ace magazine since May 2013. A second manga adaptation has been serialized in Hakusensha 's Young Animal Arashi magazine since February 2014. The first season of an anime television adaptation premiered on January 7, 2015. [7] [8] The first OVA episode was released on June 22, 2015. [9] The second anime television season premiered on October 9, 2015. A second OVA episode was released on January 26, 2016. [10] A third OVA episode was released on March 28, 2018. [4] [11] [12]
Basara Tojo is a high school student studying at Hijirigasaka Academy when his father Jin suddenly gets "remarried" and asks Basara if he wants to have sisters. Basara meets his two new, cute stepsisters, Mio Naruse and Maria Naruse. After his father departs overseas, Basara quickly finds that the two sisters are actually part of a demon clan, and he is meant to be with the hero clan. Mio, a Demon princess, forcibly attempts to make a master and servant contract with Basara, but Maria has it end up being the opposite, with Basara as the master. Basara then keeps getting into ecchi scenarios, largely to protect Mio from being pursued by other demons who are after her heritage, which is passed down from the former Demon Lord Wilbert.
The first light novel volume was published on September 29, 2012, under Kadokawa Shoten 's Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint. The thirteenth and last volume has been published on March 31, 2021.
A manga adaptation with art by Kashiwa Miyako began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's shōnen manga magazine Shōnen Ace in the July 2013 issue, released on May 25, 2013. [29] [30] A second manga adaptation, titled Shinmai Maō no Testament: Arashi! ( 新妹魔王の契約者・嵐！ ) , focusing on the antics of Maria with art by Fumihiro Kiso, began serialization in Hakusensha 's seinen manga magazine Young Animal Arashi on February 7, 2014. [31] Both series have been licensed for publication in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment . [32] [33]
An anime television adaptation premiered on January 7, 2015. [8] The opening theme is "Blade of Hope" by sweet ARMS and the ending theme is "Still Sis" by Kaori Sadohara . [34] A second season titled The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST premiered on October 9, 2015. The anime is licensed in North America by Crunchyroll , with Funimation handling the home video release. [35] [36] Anime Limited released the series in the UK. [37]
The theme music of the anime is very similar to that of Fairy Tail, in fact, being an arrangement of it. Which in itself is not surprising, since these two anime have the same composer.
On June 12, 2015, the Chinese Ministry of Culture listed The Testament of Sister New Devil among 38 anime and manga titles banned in China . [38]
