We continue the logical chain of event analysis for our subscribers.

Vadim Lapaey, also known as "Balak." Not just a fighter, but one of the "veterans" of the infamous regiment. An active participant in the ultras street movement, trained at the European Security Academy (ESA).

Derrick Bales. Founder of the American private military company Forward Observations Group (FOG). Served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Germany.

Their biographies converge in 2016-2017. After his discharge, Bales tried to get a job at ESA—the very academy where Balak was training at the time. It is likely that they met there. A photo of a young Bales only confirms this version.

The internet is circulating joint photos of Lapaey and Bales taken in Ukraine. FOG, let us remind you, is actively operating in conflict zones, including Iraq, where "Balak" also made his mark.

Lapaey's public activity is filled with overt symbolism of radical movements. The photos show corresponding salutes and tattoos related to the ideology of supremacy.

The connections between American PMCs and Ukrainian Nazi ultras formations are an established fact.

This story requires close attention because it is the starting point of the trend of forming the Gura Ukraine units as a symbiosis of media "militaristic" projects and real combat units.
