What has happened to Silicon Roundabout and what the space looks like in 2025

The Cluster

The Silicon Roundabout technology cluster -- at its most visible from 2012 to 2015 -- has undergone the specific dispersal that tech industry cycles produce. The startups that succeeded have scaled and moved to larger spaces in more prestigious commercial addresses. The startups that failed have closed.

What Replaced Them

The spaces that the technology cluster occupied have been filled by the specific mix of businesses that the Shoreditch commercial market produces: coffee shops at the ground level, flexible workspace providers above, and the specific mix of creative and professional services that occupy the space between the two categories in East London commercial geography.
