Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can transform from a single to a double stroller with the addition of a second seat or glider board (sold separately). It can also be set up into a triple travel system by adding the bench seat or an infant car seat. It comes with 24 options in total and is the highest-rated stroller. This model is constructed with Baby Jogger’s soft, breathable and sustainably sourced TENCEL fabrics. They aid in regulating the temperature. It has a leatherette handlebar, bumper bar and belly bar. It is 20percent smaller and lighter than the leading single-to-double stroller, the UPPAbaby V2.
It comes with a moderate-sized sunshade and a handy magnetic peek-a-boo window that is easy to open and close. The telescoping bar is one of the most easily adjustable and works for parents of any height. The seats recline, and there's an adjustment button for the footwell to assist you in positioning your child in the most comfortable position. The storage bin is large however we wish it had a latch that is more secure. It's easy to access but we found the zippers a little frustrating since they need to be removed completely and reattached for each use.
Like its brothers like its siblings, the City Select has single-action brakes which are easy to set and release by the pulling of a lever located on the side of the frame lower than the handlebar. It's barefoot and sandal-friendly and is an improvement over the awkward toe-pinch brake lever that a few of the other models use.
This is the only stroller in our review that can accept two infant car seats which makes it a great option for twins or parents with a single child and a new baby on the way. It can fit the majority of infant car seats from the major brands with an adapter. We tested it with the Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30 and Graco Click Connect models and also the Cybex Aton, Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is a great alternative for families who already have car seats, but are looking for a stroller that can accommodate it. However, you may prefer a convertible stroller for this scenario.
