With Bentley's 100th anniversary looming next year and the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition of Mulsanne. It is a tribute to the company's founder, W.O. Bentley is a relic from one of his cars.
The special model, which can be ordered on a long-wheelbase or regular-wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed, was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. used as his personal car. Its influence can be felt throughout the cabin and even a Mulliner illuminated cocktail cabinet that features an opening window that shows an image of the original crankshaft of the 8 Litre display inside.
Other highlights include a chrome-colored application running back to the side of the car with an air vent with a photoetched B shape which incorporates W.O. bentley key fob programming is designed following 1930s-inspired Onyx and there's an optional chrome-colored application on the lower spoilers to the left and right. The front grille also has distinctive design, with a chrome-colored mesh replacing the body-colored mesh of Mulsanne. It also features the Flying B Logo.
A keybox engraved with the Bentley wings holds two keys, and comes with a black flock lining. individual key pouches are available to complement or contrast the key box. The commemorative set also includes a custom 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and an air-borne 'B' paperweight and a printed brochure that features images that have never before been seen of the original 1930s 8 Litre.

The key fob's knurling made of metal mimics the textures found throughout the interior, including the seat temperature controls as well as the shift knob. "We wanted the knurlings to be as uniform and elegant as we could," says Van Braekel. It was crucial to keep the size and shape of the fob consistent.
