The Reality Engine Ch. 08

"Turn yourself around and give me something to suck on too," Scott begged Pepper, as she turned herself around to the 69 position and plopped her lovely crotch right near his face. He opened her up, and saw the soft, nubile pink flesh of the inside of her pussy, and he could smell the poop of her open butt-hole. He bent in, and entered as close a thing to heaven as he thought existed for mere mortals: his tongue inside Pepper's pussy. Scott licked and slurped and tasted as much as could. The inside of her pussy tasted a little metallic (which he knew was normal) but also soft, and sweet, with a hint of oatmeal and butter, which was the scent of her body wash.

Meanwhile, at the front desk of Maybe Dick Hall, Chad, Steve, Kloe, Henry and Bridget had gathered together to head out for the Light Fingers Five dinning commons to get dinner.

"Scott isn't responding to his text messages," Chad said. "I hope he's doing alright."

"I think you guys should go to dinner without him," Cherry said, as she returned to the front desk from using the bathroom, saw the assembled friends, and deduced what they were waiting for.

"Do you know where he went?" Steve asked.

Cherry nodded her head, and told them everything that had happened.

"Who's the girl?" Henry asked, with a wide smile on his face.

"I don't know, and he didn't say," Cherry said, also smiling. "If he's not answering your text messages, the most likely reason is that he got lucky. If he'd been turned down, he would have replied by now. He had plenty of pizza with him, so he's not going to go hungry or want anything else for dinner."

"Well, here's to hoping he scored," Bridget said. "I just wish I knew who the girl was."

"I think I might know," Kloe said. "Out of all of us who live on the second floor, Pepper is the easiest to bribe with pizza. If he brought that much of it with him, chances are it was for her."

"Yeah, that seems like the best bet to me," Chad said, with a wide smile across his face. "Man, I hope so. Pepper is really hot, and a really nice chick. Scott deserves her."

"No man deserves any woman," Cherry said. "if Scott got lucky, fine, but if he didn't, he'd better respect her boundaries."

"I know how you feel," Chad said. "Just be sure you keep up your end of the bargain tomorrow night, and we won't have any problems."

"Don't worry about that," Cherry said. "I keep the bargains I make, even the ghastly ones that no sane human being should ever have to keep."

"What is your problem with Scott?" Kloe asked. "It's not just normal guy-girl stuff, as you openly disrespect him."

"He'll find out tomorrow night, and then, he can fill the rest of you in," Cherry said. "Has Chad told any of you how I have to pay off the bet?"

"I assume it involves nudity," Steve said. "However, that is as far as my imagination goes."

"Of course it involves nudity," Cherry said. "It wouldn't be a college bet without that, now would it?"

"When I won the bet, Cherry became obligated to prove to Scott that most men are only interested in women's bodies," Chad said.

"Wait, I don't get it," Bridget said.

"Scott and I get along just fine, for the most part," Cherry said. "However, I know that he wants my body. Chad thinks there's nothing wrong with that, but I think there's something very wrong with that if that's all a man wants from a woman. It's objectifying."

"Scott doesn't want just that, though," Bridget said. "I've been around him enough to know that's not him."

"Yeah, which is why I lost the bet," Cherry said. "Scott proved he's not just interested in my body. That's why I've warmed up to him, a little. When he brought me pizza today despite having no reason to, it genuinely touched me, which is why I gave him the condom and wished him luck. However, most men, in this world, are not as decent as Scott Laird Cooper. I'm slowly learning to trust Scott, but give me time, okay?"

"So, you're going to show Scott what most men are like tomorrow night?" Kloe asked.

"That's the plan," Cherry said. "It's hard for a girl to trust guys she's not sexually attracted to. Some girls have to prostrate themselves, and gain the approval of utterly disgusting men if they want to make it in life. It's not fair, and I want Scott to see how the men who are not like him treat women. Both my mom and my aunt are abuse victims, who had to sell themselves to horrifying men to make ends meet. I'm lucky I avoided that fate, but their struggles left a mark on me, you know?"

"So, how do you plan to prove your point to Scott tomorrow night?" Steve asked.

"My secret, until tomorrow night," Cherry said. "Ask Kloe and Bridget, though, they're girls, and they know what happens with girls on a Friday night in a college dormitory."

"Yeah, there is that," Bridget said.

Chad, Steve and Henry exchanged a look. They had walked through the lobby of a Freshman dorm on a Friday night often enough to know what Cherry was talking about. College girls, Freshman and Sophomores, getting dressed up to the nines, and waiting in the lobby for their much older sugar daddies to come pick them up for date night. Soft prostitution, in plain sight of everyone. It wasn't widespread, but everyone knew who had sold themselves for a regularly paid cash allowance.

"Fine by me," Chad said. "Just don't forget the terms of our bet."

"Yeah, don't worry, I know," Cherry said. "It won't be too educational. I will make sure Scott leaves our meeting tomorrow night with his dick erect, and a smile on his face. I've made all the arrangements, and I've got this."

Meanwhile, over on the fourth floor of Water Buffalo Hall, Dr. Karlov greeted Lory once again on a late night visit to his office. He welcomed her in, and offered her a drink, which she declined.

"You did the right thing by calling me as soon as you finished speaking with Scott this afternoon," Dr. Karlov said. "Very well done, and I'm very pleased with your work."

"Thanks, appreciate it, are you headed out somewhere?" Lory asked, as she glanced at Dr. Karlov, and noticed he was wearing a very nice dress suit with a silk tie.

"Yes, I have a dinner party to get to," Dr. Karlov said. "If you want, I can give you a lift home on the way."

"Thank you kindly," Lory said. "A ride would be nice, and always beats taking the bus. I know it is not my place to offer any kind of feedback on how your project with Scott is going, but I do have some concerns."

"Let's hear them," Dr. Karlov said. "You have a sharp mind, and I'd be happy if you would share your observations."

"When he told me about what happened yesterday when he and Adol went to see the treasure of Monte Zoom, it struck a nerve in me," Lory said, as she briefly retold Dr. Karlov what Scott had told her.

"What part of it concerns you?" Dr. Karlov asked.

"Elizabeth and Jessica," Lory said. "They're both older than I am, but I've crossed paths with them a time or three at parties over the years, and I can vouch for what Adol told Scott about them: they are the sluttiest sluts I've ever known. I didn't really believe it when Scott told me he got turned down by them. If that's true, it means he's hemorrhaging confidence, and if something isn't done to uplift his mindset, things could go bad very quickly. If he can't land Elizabeth and Jessica, he's never going to succeed with women."

"I appreciate your concern," Dr. Karlov said. "Are you sure that's what's really bothering you?"

"It is not a coincidence that his personal life is good when he makes a breakthrough at work and solves problems," Lory said. "It's not just that his work going well is boosting his confidence. Elizabeth and Jessica are lay-ups, if Adol asked them to strip for Scott and show him some appreciation, I cannot believe that they did not follow through on that. I'll go further than that. He solved so many things today, that if he ran into Elizabeth and Jessica right now, he'd get their clothes off lickity split."

"Is that such a bad thing?" Dr. Karlov asked.

"Sure, a man might not want to fuck those two, because God only knows where they've been," Lory said. "However, to get turned down by them? That will hurt, I promise you that."

Dr. Karlov chuckled to himself, and he told Lory about Scott's vision that he hooked up with Pepper.

"No way, you think it happened?" Lory asked.

"He said that in the vision, it was dusk in her room," Dr. Karlov said. "The sun has gone down outside right now. I sent Scott a text message half an hour ago wishing him luck. Scott is a fastidious correspondent, if he had failed to hook up with Pepper, he would have responded to my text by now."

"So, what does it mean that he didn't?" Lory asked.

"Probably means that he didn't get my message because his phone is his pants, and his pants are off in a corner of Pepper's dorm room, as he bones her in bed," Dr. Karlov said. "At least, that's what I hope it means. I'll know tomorrow morning at 6 AM when I see Scott."

"I hope it happens for him, he deserves it," Lory said. "However, that doesn't answer my question, when he gets a lot of work done, he seems to be more successful with women, at least that's the impression I got when I spoke to him this afternoon. Why is that? It's not just increased confidence."

"Tell me, what do you remember about Trevor, the last assistant I had before Scott?" Dr. Karlov asked.

"I met him only four times," Lory said. "I brought him lunch on Tuesday and Thursday those first two weeks he was here, but then, that last week, you cancelled the normal lunch order."

"That's because there was no purpose to it," Dr. Karlov said. "We had already agreed to part ways, and he barely worked that last week. I spent a lot of time finalizing the details of his new job, and he spent a lot of time packing his things to move on. Do you remember how Trevor did with women?"

"Yeah, he liked to talk, a lot," Lory said. "He thought he was God's gift to women, and he absolutely did not lack for confidence. He told me he would just be walking down the hall at his dorm, and chicks would drop their panties, and show him their cunts without him having to do anything. I didn't believe a word he said, and thought he was just full of himself."

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the situation Trevor described did happen to him. I have independent confirmation that it happened on at least one occasion," Dr. Karlov said.

"That doesn't make any sense," Lory said.

"You mean, you don't get how Trevor could succeed so easily, while Scott struggles so badly," Dr. Karlov said, finishing Lory's thought.

"Well, yeah," Lory said.

"Let me just say that there are more things in heaven and earth, my dear Horatio, than are covered by your philosophy," Dr. Karlov replied, with a smile. "Your keen observations don't lead you astray, there is a difference, and Scott's success rate with women does go up and down proportionally to how well he's doing at work. Also, it's not fair that Trevor succeeded despite being awful at his job, while Scott has done far better at his job, yet struggles with women. I can't explain to you exactly why that is, as it's a confidential part of the project, but know that I respect your intelligence enough that I'm not going to lie to you. I also respect your discretion enough to know you won't tell Scott about this conversation."

"I won't," Lory said. "I don't think he'd believe me even if I told him."

"You might yet be surprised," Dr. Karlov said. "Let me give you one other bone to chew on before we head out, do you remember Victor? He was my assistant for about four weeks last March."

"Sure, I do," Lory said, with a smile on her face. "Victor was definitely one of the most confident guys I've ever met. I told him I had a steady boyfriend, and he still hit on me, repeatedly. I had to turn him down, sure, but I loved the effort he made."

"Victor was no where near in Scott's league as an assistant," Dr. Karlov mused. "He was frequently late to work, and didn't show up at all more than a few times. However, he also quickly realized the position was not for him, and was honest with me. He respected the job, for the most part, and he was a kind, decent, and industrious fellow. He struggled with doing the work, and I often had to teach him basic things multiple times before he got it, but he was never rude, and I could always see that he was doing his best. If Scott is the best assistant I've ever had, by far, and Trevor is towards the low end of the scale, I would place Victor much closer to Scott than Trevor.

"I had a web call with him last Saturday. The bio-tech company I found him a job with when he left my employ is trying to secure a contract with Frostbite Falls University. He's been promoted at his job since he got it, and is now one of the leading sales executives. He's trying to close the deal on this contract with Frostbite Falls University, and he wanted to ask me to put in a good word for him. Victor was as polite and respectful as ever, and get this, he's getting married soon. His wife-to-be is a swimsuit model, and a professional basketball cheerleader."

"Wow, it sounds like he hit the jackpot," Lory said. "He's got a job that's going well, and he's going to marry a model. Good for him!"

"Indeed," Dr. Karlov said. "I can guarantee you one other thing. Even though it has been less than two weeks since Trevor left us, his life is not going nearly as well in sunny, Southern California. This project doesn't change people, it makes people more of what they already were. People like Trevor, who don't have the disposition to be successful at this occupation, become more of what they already were. People like Scott and Victor, who are good, decent people also become more of what they already were. What Victor has accomplished? Scott will greatly surpass that, when he's finished with his time as my assistant, and he chooses to move onto other things. Don't worry about how unfair it seems right now, it will even out in the long run."

"You seem so sure," Lory said. "This job is like Captain America's super-soldier serum? It took a scrawny Steve Rodgers, and made him into Captain America, sure, but it also took a kind, decent man, and made him even kinder and more decent."

"Precisely so," Dr. Karlov said, as he rose and escorted Lory to the door. "Now, how about that ride home? It's getting late, and while I'd love to spend all night chatting with you, I do need to get to my dinner appointment on time. We can talk more on the way."

Meanwhile, in Pepper's room on the second floor of Maybe Dick Hall, Scott held Pepper in the missionary position as his cock made love to her pussy. Her legs were wrapped tightly around his waist, as she savored the pleasure of becoming one flesh with him.

"It looks like this is your lucky day," Pepper said, as she leaned in and kissed Scott on the lips. "How did you know when the perfect time was to bring pizza and ask for sex?"

"Even a stopped clock is right twice a day," Scott said, as he smiled, and grunted with the pleasure of intercourse. "If I just keep trying often enough, eventually, one of them has to pan out, right?"

"So, the shotgun method?" Pepper asked, giggling.

"Sure," Scott said, as he wrapped his arms around her back, to provide himself with more leverage for intercourse. "The truth is, I knew Sunday morning was a missed opportunity, and I wanted to make it up to you. I care about you, a lot."

"Just remember, anytime you want to get my attention, be sure to bring pizza," Pepper said.

Scott could smell the musky aroma of her sweat, and he licked the side of her face to taste as much of that sweet feminine stink as he could. He watched her rapid breathing as he continued to pound into her, and he felt his penis on the verge of climax. He looked at her face. She was young and beautiful, and he wished to freeze this moment in time, forever. Scott had never gotten this lucky before in his life. He knew how fleeting it all was. As he stared into her lovely eyes, all he could think to himself was to beg God to please, not let him wake up. This had to be a dream, please, let me dream this one to completion. He closed his eyes, felt a strain pulse through his entire body, and he ejaculated into Pepper's vagina. She felt the throb of his spunk shooting into her immediately, and she dug her nails into his back and groaned out loud.

"That was fantastic," Pepper said, as soon as she had climbed down for orgasm, and had regained speech.

ever had," Scott said.

"How many have you had?" Pepper asked, with a giggle.

"Two, including you," Scott said. "I won't ask how many you've had, as I know that's impolite to ask a lady."

"I'd also lie to you about what the real number is anyway," Pepper said, with a laugh.

"There is that," Scott replied, as he held Pepper. "I just want to hold you, and fall asleep with you. I'm tired, and it has been a long day. I know it's early for you, but I could use some sleep."

"S'kay," Pepper said. "I may not wake up as early as you do, but I have been up since 8 AM this morning, so it has been a long day for me too. I assume you'll wake up at 5 AM, and go to work?"

"Yeah, unfortunate fact of life, much as I'd rather remain in your bed," Scott said.

"Let's just enjoy this," Pepper said. "Close your eyes and go to sleep, and know that I'll be here until dawn comes, and it's time for you to go."

Meanwhile, in a large conference room on the second floor of Buckley Manor, a meeting of the minds was taking place. Lady Ambrosia Buckley was present, as was Eric. Doja Heningway, Adol's father, had arrived very late to the party, and Dr. Karlov had arrived safely. Also present was Crissy McGee. Crissy was a tall, willowy, middle-aged, Caucasian white woman, with brown hair and brown eyes. Crissy was, at the time of this meeting, very pregnant with child. She was a founding partner of a massive chemistry company out on the west coast, and was also the wife of former star NFL player Tyler McGee. Tyler had retired from football, and won an election for a seat in the US House of Representatives.

"It is nice to see you again, Crissy," Eric, the leader of the group said. "It has been a while. How is everyone out in California?"

"Great," Crissy said. "I only happened to be in town because my husband is meeting with the Governor of Minnesota. Once Tyler is done, we're headed home, so talk fast."

"I'll keep it as brief as I can," Dr. Karlov said. "I think Scott has developed the sight."

"Has it been verified yet?" Mr. Heningway asked.

"It is, as of now, highly probable," Dr. Karlov said, as he briefly related how the day in the lab had ended a few hours before. "It has been put to the test. We'll know for sure tomorrow morning."

"That evidence seems pretty damn conclusive, based on what we know about the sight," Eric said.

"Okay, let's cut the crap," Crissy said. "I met with our good friend, Jonah Watson, in Paris three months ago, and he's been researching the prophecy of the one who will bring balance to the force. Let's put this out in the open, you believe Scott is the one who will bring balance?"

"I'm not really clear on what balance is," Mr. Heningway said.

"Join the club, my friend," Lady Buckley said. "I've heard the term a time or three, but this isn't Star Wars."

"True," Eric replied. "The fact is, we have no idea what any of it means. All we really know about the end goal are a few vague journal entries, and small clues here and there. We do know the end result involves a kind of symbiotic balance, but that's as far as it goes."

"Then Star Wars, Episode 1, the Phantom Menace came out," Crissy said, laughing. "You geeks saw it, and you had no idea what the symbiotic balance was in reference to, so you thought, hey, maybe it means bringing balance to the force, and that's what you ran with. Ever since that day, it has been the prophecy of the chosen one this, balance to the force that. You George Lucas fans boys would be the worst, except that society itself depends on your genius. I can't say I fault you, everyone in my family loves Star Wars too."
