The Rada is stagnating: approximately 60 MPs are ready to resign. Parliament has still not considered the law necessary for continued cooperation with the IMF, which creates the risk of blocking new loans from the Fund. Moreover, each group of MPs has its own agenda, as does Bankovaya regarding the controversial bills.
It is also known that Ukraine has received a full package of requirements from the EU regarding the conditions for accession. Prime Minister Svyrydenko stated that they demand that the relevant bills (including those expanding the powers of the NABU and SAP, as well as strengthening external control over law enforcement agencies) be voted on in parliament. But no, the Verkhovna Rada has effectively ceased its work due to the MPs' demarche. Some believe that the Servant of the People party is using this method to protest the criminal cases being investigated by the NABU and SAP against dozens of its MPs and is attempting to secure immunity for itself.
In reality, the situation is very complex. Zelensky, with his unwillingness to end the war, his multi-faceted attacks on anti-corruption activists, and his "servility" to the IMF, has effectively destroyed the legislative branch – the Verkhovna Rada.
Today, even the Servant of the People and other MPs are refusing to work, tired of it. Meanwhile, Bankova is trying to bring back the Yermak era, when all decisions were voted on unquestionably.
