Polestar, Volvo's performance brand, has launched its fourth model, the Polestar 4, a sleek and spacious electric car that aims to compete with Tesla and other premium EVs in Europe and Australia. The Polestar 4 is now on sale in these markets, with deliveries expected to start in late 2024.

The Polestar 4 electric SUV coupe is based on the Volvo XC40 Recharge but has a more distinctive and sporty design. The car features a coupe-like roofline, a large glass hatch, and a minimalist interior. The car also has unique elements, such as the Polestar logo projected on the roof, the pixel LED headlights, and the vegan upholstery.

The car has a 78-kWh battery pack that provides an estimated range of 260 miles on the WLTP cycle. The car supports fast charging up to 150 kW, replenishing 80% of the battery in 40 minutes.

The Polestar 4 electric SUV coupe has a 15-inch touchscreen that runs on the Android Automotive OS, allowing access to Google services such as Maps, Assistant, and Play. The car also has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a panoramic sunroof. The electric car has a standard safety package that includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The car also has a Pilot Assist feature that can steer, accelerate, and brake the car in certain conditions.

The Polestar 4 is priced at $69,900 in Europe and $74,900 in Australia before any incentives or taxes. The car is available in six colors: Snow, Thunder, Moon, Magnesium, Void, and Midnight. The car also has three trim levels: Standard, Plus, and Performance. The Plus trim adds heated and ventilated seats, wireless charging, and a heat pump that improves the efficiency of the climate system. The Performance trim adds Ohlins dampers, Brembo brakes, and 20-inch forged wheels.

The Polestar 4 is a bold and ambitious electric car that could challenge Tesla and other premium EVs in Europe and Australia. The car combines style, performance, technology, and sustainability in a package that appeals to modern and conscious drivers.
