I covered the Tower Hamlets planning committee meeting on Tuesday as a journalism exercise. The committee approved four applications and rejected one. The rejected application was for the conversion of a Victorian terrace to six flats. The grounds for rejection: the proposed floor areas were below the minimum standards for habitable rooms.
