A woman who owns a naked cleaning business said “demand is soaring” because of coronavirus and she is struggling to keep up.
A naked cleaner says she’s struggling to keep up with demand for her services during the coronavirus pandemic.
Nikki Belton, 34, launched her raunchy business at the beginning of this year but, like many others, had to put a halt to her services when coronavirus forced the world into lockdown.
The Naked Cleaning Company carries out domestic tasks in the UK such as vacuuming, dusting and wiping surfaces, but with a twist – costing $135 per hour for topless and lingerie, and $172 per hour for fully naked cleaning.
But Nikki and her army of cleaners are now in high demand to help sanitise the homes of the public, offering their scrubbing services at a safe 2m distance while the cleaner wears a mask.
“I think our job is now more important than ever given the current situation and business has been very good, the demand for a naked cleaner has soared,” Nikki, from Plymouth in Devon, said.
“Everybody’s been struggling throughout the lockdown and we hope to help clean away coronavirus, one naked cleaner at a time.”
Nikki originally ran a regular $30-an-hour cleaning business before teaming up with business partner Lianne Woolman, 46, to offer a nude version after realising its money-making potential.
The self-employed cleaners have always worn gloves while carrying out tasks, but even more safety measures have been brought in to follow the UK’s COVID-19 guidelines.
All cleaners meet the country’s virus safety training requirements and both clients and Nikki’s employees are identity checked.
“When lockdown happened, we had to stop cleaning for a while but have recently started taking on jobs again with our new measures,” Nikki said.
“The cleaning industry went back straight away and were allowed in people’s homes, as long as the cleaner had a mask on and were keeping their distance.”
She went on to explain that despite the nudity, everyone who cleans in the buff is a “professional who is there to do a job”.
“It’s nice for people to have a bit of a quirky service like this after all we’ve been through in the past few months,” she said.
“Naked cleaning is bringing back happiness, fun and a sense of wellbeing after lockdown.”
The Naked Cleaning Company’s clientele is mainly men wanting their house cleaned by women, providing a discreet service for busy professionals across the UK.
And Nikki has had lots of positive comments from her new measures to incorporate social distancing.
“I’ve had lots of feedback from my cleaners who say they have been a friend for some who’ve been on their own in lockdown and this was their first opportunity for them to socialise,” the entrepreneur said.
“The clients have said that it’s just nice to see a happy face again, especially those who have been by themselves for months who might be lonely.
“Getting myself and my cleaners back out has given me a boost too.”
When Nikki launched her company, she hit back at trolls who thought the service was too sexualised and thought she wouldn’t do the job herself – by cleaning in her undies for lucky clients.
“We’re doing really well but with that comes haters and trolls.
“At the end of the day we’re a business and there’s nothing sexual about it – our cleaners aren’t sex objects, they’re there to do a job.
“We weren’t worried about the coronavirus affecting the business because it’s such a niche so it’s very different.
“We’re now looking for businesspeople and cleaners across the world as we’re available for international franchise which is exciting.”
Fans are going wild for this resurfaced 1996 footage of Getaway presenter Catriona Rowntree who appears not to have aged a day.

At the beginning of 2020, Nikki Belton and Leanne Woolman launched The Naked Cleaning Company.
They offer a number of house cleaning services from lingerie and topless to completely nude cleaners.
And now, they have revealed that they will soon be going international, according to Plymouth Live.
“I always knew I wanted to build a business model that I could keep expanding.
“So far we’ve got franchise models getting ready for America, Canada, the Netherlands and hopefully Australia.”
“I’ve got to make sure they have training and management courses in place for all the franchises.
“I’ll have a support team on hand so we’ll need offices in time to manage that.
“We’ve had interest from directors trying to buy the company with it being such a good idea. It’s been unbelievable really.”
Speaking at the time after Nikki saw business had done pretty well, she said:
“I think our job is now more important than ever.
“The demand for a naked cleaner has soared.
“Everybody’s been struggling throughout the lockdown and we hope to help clean away coronavirus, one naked cleaner at a time.
“It’s nice for people to have a bit of a quirky service like this after all we’ve been through in the past few months.”
“I’m very ruthless with everything I do. I either do all or nothing. Even my parents have said that I’m all in or all out.
“It’s all about body image; it doesn’t matter what shape or size you are it’s about the empowerment of women and to be confident.”
