The Muslim Path - Read more about it!
TheMuslimPathMany non-Muslims have a misconception about Muslims. They think all Muslims are alike and live in similar cultures. This is not true. There are many differences between Muslims and Christians and other people of other faiths or creeds.
What do Muslims believe? The first and most important commandment for all muslims is the sharia, or code of religious law, which tells them what to do and how to act. Muslims are usually strict to what they believe in muslims believe that god will surely help them in times of need. Some of the commandments they follow are: to have prayer everyday, to observe fast during times of worship, and to never cut the hands off the right hand or face the other gods.
In regards to sex, muslims believe that marriage is only between a man and a woman and that pre-marital sex is strictly forbidden. A married Muslim woman is called a makdis (which in Arabic means' maid). Marriage is considered to be between a man and a woman, no man can marry his Muslim wife.
Another major difference between a muslim and a Christian is that muslims believe that the messengers of Islamic god, or Allah, will send future prophets to guide the people. This is contrary to Christianity, which has two revelations, one from the bible and one from the prophet Muhammed. In the bible there is no indication of any future prophets. On the other hand, muslims believe that the prophet Muhammed is the prophet who received the last message (the quran) from God and is the one who is believed to be the last prophet. They also believe that every true muslim is entitled to receive the welfare and peace of God through Islam.
The biggest difference between a muslim and a Christian is that muslims believe that Jesus is the son of god. They also follow the Islamic faith to their practices. Therefore, muslims will not kill a non muslim because they consider him to be an infidel (non-believer). This is unlike Christians, who will sacrifice the lives of nonbelievers to please their god. Moreover, muslims do not have belief in the Holy Trinity, thus they are considered to be heretics by the Islamic religious.
Finally, muslims believe that the quran is the word of god. They read the quran and abrogate it when necessary. Therefore, in the case of disagreements in worship, the muslims will not allow their practices to differ from the Islamic practices.
