Can I translate The Movie Bot in other languages?

Yes! You can help translating the bot to your own language here. If you've finished a language, please notify us in the support group so we can add it to the bot!

By changing the language setting, both the bot language and content language are affected.

Content language

Setting the language to Spanish, the bot will fetch the Spanish plot summary, for example. For movie and TV show information, almost every major language is supported by TMDb, where The Movie Bot gets its data from. If you encounter a movie/TV show with no summary available in your language, you can always add it at its TMDb page.

Bot language

For The Movie Bot itself, all texts need to be manually translated; otherwise they are shown in English. Everyone can translate a few words in his/her language. Just head over here and start translating. Every contribution is appreciated. Feel free to add a new column if your language isn't yet there!

For languages officially supported by Telegram, every translated word is useful, even if it is not yet officially added to the bot.

For languages that are already translated, you can always improve machine translations (marked orange), and mark them black afterwards.

The changed content from the Google Spreadsheet will be updated every now and then. If your language is translated for more than ~80%, let us know so we can officially add it to the bot!
