The Most Expensive Watches In The World 명품 레플리카

Tommy Wilson

Most of the world's most costly timepieces may be classified into two broad categories. Timepieces costing six or seven figures are traditionally made possible by packing incomprehensibly complex engineering into tiny casings. Here you may discover the most expensive models of timepieces made by the Swiss establishment (and the occasional innovative new company), all of which rely on ingenious mechanisms like gears and cogs to tell time or chime like Big Ben. On the other hand, there are watches that cost a lot because they include rare and valuable materials like gold, diamonds, or even pieces of meteorite. Vanity items, in other words. A Pacific island's GDP might be easily wasted under your watch, but sometimes the best way to let people know this is by making it glitzy.

One-of-a-kind timepieces are a step beyond even these, whether they formerly belonged to a famous person, a long-dead person, or, counterintuitively, were manufactured incorrectly and are consequently entirely unique (read: collectable). The record-breaking watches that fetch as much as a solid Premier League midfielder can be found here, as the antique watch market continues to soar in popularity.

See the most expensive ones here. To keep things level, we didn't include models that wore a ton of jewelry. To put it bluntly, it doesn't really matter. Take a look at the examples below:

Pre: $300,000 for a Girard-Perregaux Quasar Light Tourbillon

The 'Light' variant is one of just 18 of the iconic Quasar model ever produced.

Which is nothing to write home about. After all, the most prestigious watch brands often use such tactics. However, the 79-part tourbillon movement in the Girard-Perregaux justifies the watch's cool £300,000 price tag. It required more than 200 hours of labor, hundreds of procedures, and methods refined over a period of 200 years. Competence of that kind doesn't come cheap.

The "Janus" All-in-One Watch by Chopard L.U.C. costs £374,000.

The world's priciest timepieces are made by Chopard.

CHOPARD

For good reason, Chopard is celebrated as a legendary name in the world of watches. After taking home the first prize at the 2017 Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix for their 'L.U.C Full Strike,' the brand released a rehash of a classic (but no less thrilling) model the following year, complete with a hefty price tag.

The L.U.C. All-in-One is the perfect blend of mystery and exclusivity. These limited-edition timepieces in rose gold and platinum were each produced in just 10 pieces, yet the inspiration behind them is something that most people would recognize.

This dual-faced watch was clearly designed to pay homage to the Roman deity Janus, who is known for having two personalities. Features like a perpetual calendar, astronomical readings, and a tourbillon—a complicated spinning mechanical device that requires enormous talent to make—give it a divine appearance on the inside as well. Costing £374,000 (or more, depending on the currency rate), it's reasonable to conclude that heavenly power is unfathomably expensive.

Chapter One: Round Transparency, Maitres du Temps - £404,000

TIME MASTERS

The 'Chapter One Round Transparence' is a prime example of how the tick-tock aficionados at Maîtres du Temps bring together the world's finest watchmakers to create groundbreaking designs.

Intricate and timeless, the 'Chapter One' is a jumble of several horological (watchmaking) traditions and styles. The limited edition engraving and 18-karat red-gold casing are what really distinguish it (only 11 models were made).

Although prohibitively expensive at £404,000, it is much sought after as a homage to the interesting history and promising future of the industry.
