Bose is prepared to develop an entirely new design if the current wireless earbuds aren't working for you. These wireless Sport Open Earbuds don't go through or over your canal. Instead, they sit on top of it which allows you to hear the audio and still hear the sounds of everything happening around you.

Although the design may be a bit awkward, Bose claims that they remain in place regardless of the weather. They also offer clear, loud audio that you can hear without having to blast it out to everyone. I'll need to see reviews from one of our audio experts before I can believe completely in what they're selling, but the potential of a new headset that offers an improved fit is definitely worth a try.

'Minecraft Earth' will close on June 30th

Microsoft's AR mobile game was launched in the US in the year 2000.

Minecraft Earth players have until June 30th to play the augmented reality game before Microsoft shuts down its servers and it's no longer available to download from marketplaces for apps. According to its developer, Mojang Studios, "Minecraft Earth was created around free movement and cooperative play and collaboration - two things that have become near impossible in the current climate."

The studio is rolling out a last update , which it claims will include changes "to ensure that your time on Minecraft Earth as fun as possible." In addition to other improvements this update gets rid the use of real money transactions and significantly reduces the time it will take players to create and build things within the game.

Microsoft will erase player data starting July 1st. The game that debuted at WWDC 2019 will also be erased. Continue reading.

The next-generation Tile tracker might make use of ultrawideband technology

And you might utilize AR to locate it. While we're waiting for tracker tags that are specifically designed for Apple or Samsung, Tile is working to stay in the game. TechCrunch reports that Tile is developing a tracker that utilizes ultra-wideband (UWB), instead of Bluetooth to help you locate lost objects. UWB has a handful of advantages over Bluetooth because its high-frequency waves can transmit directional and spatial data which makes it more accurate in finding the location of devices and tags. UWB is already available in the most recent iPhones, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (and Galaxy Z Fold 2) models. Continue reading.

Verizon puts 3G shutdown plans on hold indefinitely

It will continue to be functional alongside its 4G and 5G networks. Verizon Media, the parent company of Engadget, isn't planning to close its 3G network in the near future. The spokesperson for Verizon, Kevin King, said that the company's 3G network is "operational" and the company doesn't plan to close it down. Verizon stopped activating 3G phones in 2018 according to a statement that "virtually every traffic on [itsnetwork] is on [its] 4GLTE network," at the time. Verizon and King did not reveal how many 3G phones were still connected. However, the number could be significant if the network is kept operational alongside 4G or 5G. Continue reading.
