"The Item Upgrades Awards: The Top, Worst, Or Most Bizarre Things We've Seen
Path of Exile Item Upgrades
The performance of a variety of Path of Exile items can be enhanced by upgrading their performance. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.
Rare-grade equipment can be superior to upgraded Common or Magic equipment because of their high requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapons and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item they are connected to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged by using an expert or higher salvage kit to retrieve upgrade components from other items.
The amount of damage that a piece of armor or weapon can absorb depends on the level of its upgrades. The absorption of damage by an armor piece will increase when it is upgraded to the highest upgrade level. It is important to keep in mind that this will increase the weight of the armor, therefore it should be heavier.
There are a variety of armor upgrades available in the game. Each has a different effect. For instance, certain upgrades will give the armor a certain amount of health points while others will make it lighter and stronger. The kind of armor upgrade an item will receive will be identified by the name of the upgrade, as shown in the table below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a hybrid technology and magic, which are shown by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Additionally, some upgrades require a charge to use, which are shown by an "Charges" entry in the table below. The charges for these upgrades refresh daily or never expire, depending on the upgrade.
Iron Ore is the cheapest option to improve your armor. You can find it by exploring and looting small treasure chests. Titanium is more expensive however, it is available through smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be used on armor pieces that are of high-level. These upgrades can provide significant improvement in stats and are a worthwhile investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.
The player must be aware, however, that upgrading a piece to the max upgrade level will boost its defense. However, it will also decrease its agility and its speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor beyond +9. The defensive boost gained usually isn't worth the weight and power costs of the upgrades.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades allow players to increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of the weapon. For instance, an upgrade may improve the damage that is caused by the shells of a shotgun or the accuracy of a rifle that snipes. Certain weapons come with special upgrades that enhance their inherent characteristics. These include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and decreases the chance of the risk of overheating) and Kinetic Coils (increases the velocity of projectiles for greater damage).
The majority of upgrades to weapons require three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade to apply. These can be gained by completing Side Quests or killing a certain amount of bosses and monsters.
To upgrade an equipment set, weapon piece, or Whetblade You must go to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee that is a certain amount of bars. item upgrader Casesgg , the more bars you will need to complete the upgrade. If you have multiple upgrade materials The cost of upgrading will be less.
In Chapter 2: Season 5, the way you upgrade your equipment and weapon sets was a bit different. Before you could go to an Upgrade Bench and pay a set amount of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to a higher quality. You could do this until your weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level and at that point, the upgrades would reset.
It's still possible, but it depends heavily on RNG. You should consider buying equipment that has low upgrade levels, but high base scores and stat distributions. These items will have a higher chance of granting you the highest tier benefits and blessings.
To improve their skills faster, most players will prioritise upgrading their weapons. In addition to these, players should consider upgrading the weapons they use with their squadmates to increase their power and effective. Shepard for instance, should upgrade the M92F so that he can unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more effective when used in conjunction with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels can be used to improve the stats of a character or to provide additional effects on weapons and armor. They can be created through an process known as jewelry crafting, where you combine a gemstone and several chemicals at a table. The higher the quality of the gem, the greater the secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses in the world, or by finding Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.
The quality of a jewel can be improved by the Jeweler, in stages that vary from Crude to Royal. Depending on the tier of the gem it will give different stat boosts when it is inserted into weapons, gear and jewelry.
All kinds of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler and Jeweler's Workshop, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a sufficient level to be able to get them. Jewels can be replaced with another one without damaging the original. You are able to replace the jewel once within an item of equipment.
It is typical to use more gems for aesthetic reasons. Apart from improving performance, the jewels also create a surface that is harder than metal, which means that repeated friction from pivots doesn't cause harm as easily.
In addition to the upgrades mentioned above, the player can also obtain glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be traded, but they're not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs are like jewelry and can be upgraded by the Jeweler to exchange Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as aegis and traits, aren't swappable and can only be recovered using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them using Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets are small pieces of equipment that offer an array of small, but beneficial benefits to your hero. They can be acquired starting in the beginning areas as loot, personal story rewards, from vendors, and by completing road interactions. They can also be made by jewelers and later found or purchased at the Trading Post.
The first trinket a player can unlock is the cloak, which gives an unimportant but beneficial boost to speed of movement and evasion. The player will then be able to acquire necklaces, amulets, and rings in a similar manner to how they acquired weapons and armor. Every piece of equipment has an upgrade slot which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades offer smaller bonuses and can be used in any type of equipment however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded, and only works with certain types of trinkets.
These trinkets also provide additional buffs and skills that are active when the hero is not fighting. This allows a hero to become more efficient even when not in combat. It can also make up for the absence of strong slot in the talent tree or team which would normally be filled by the hero's optimal stats.
A good general rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you will not replace in the near future, then any items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item to be upgraded. This is especially true when you are looking to upgrade multiple statistics on an item. It is better to upgrade one important stat instead of two subpar ones.
At the beginning of the game players in the jungle are likely to upgrade their trinket into a red one, while top and middle players usually choose either a pink or green ward (depending on the matchup). These choices will have a major impact on the hero's ability to control his map.
In addition to the items listed above, players will also find other trinkets in the form of trophies and rewards throughout the game. These can be earned by completing certain milestones within the story. For example, completing a chapter’s main quest or beating an opponent. You can see them by clicking on the achievement in the reward section of the hero's menu.
