The Israel Question and the Jewish Question

As the reader probably already knows, HAMAS has launched an offensive against Israeli-held territory. The offensive seems to have caught the Israelis by surprise (unless we choose to believe that they’ve set HAMAS up) and has resulted in some territorial gains for HAMAS and captured Israelis, both civilian and military. At the time of writing, the Israeli government has announced a counterattack which aims to not only retake the lost land, but also enter Gaza itself and eradicate HAMAS. There are also rumours that the Lebanon-based Shia militant group Hezbollah may open a second front in the north and attack Israeli positions along the Lebanese border. In terms of the military conflict itself, it is too early to say which way it will go. However, as has become customary, the ideological conflict underlying the actual conflict has spilled over into the hodge-podge we like to call the Western far right. 

I could be charitable and say that people have framed the issue in certain ways and taken an appropriate side, but it appears to me that the allegiance came first and the framing later, in order to shape a narrative. Accordingly, Neoreactionaries and BAPtards (assuming there’s a difference between the two groups), who’ve always been pro-Israel, pro-Jewish and pro-Neocon, with the majority of them being Jewish themselves, have framed the war as Palestinian BLM waging an anti-colonial conflict against the evil white Israeli oppressors and therefore, we as right-wing white people should side with Israel as the colonial power putting those wogs in their place. Of note is that this is the attitude shared by many nonwhites who really do see Israel as a white supremacist colonial state and the Palestinian struggle as an anti-colonial conflict. 

On the opposite side, we’ve seen the third worldist camp, led by Keith Woods and the NJP in claiming that since the Palestinians are fighting against Israel, which is a Jewish state, this means that racialist whites, and in particular white nationalists and other white identitarians who are engaged in a culture war against western Jewry must give all-out support to the Palestinian cause, regardless of how anti-white HAMAS, associated organisations or Palestinians in general, including the ones living in the West may be. Apparently the destruction of Israel is so important that we must throw caution to the wind and join our brown brothers in a glorious crusade jihad against NATO.

As an added irony, both factions urging white identitarians to pick a side in the brown-on-brown violence unfolding in the Middle East are decisively on the side of Russia in the Russo-Ukrainian war, each for their own reasons. Divided while they may be by sectarian squabbling in the desert, they are united in their hope that the white nation of Ukraine will be destroyed by the mongrel empire calling itself Russia. The deconstruction of white national identities in favour of bolshevik mythology is apparently not the concern of white Europeans, but the crips-vs.-bloods drama of sand people is of the utmost importance to us and we’re fools to ignore it or observe with detached amusement as two groups of undesirables remove each other. 

In this essay, I will not focus on the Neoreactionary/BAPtard side, because I believe that their position vis-a-vis Israel is impossible to take seriously for white identitarians. The notions that Jews are white or that Israel is a colonial project which needs support from the West are mere pilpul, especially considering they come from people who’ve been variously identified as Jews or other Jew-like minorities (Hindu, Lebanese, Armenians etc). There’s also the added fact that the continued survival of Israel would do nothing to improve the situation of white people on the world stage. Instead, I will focus on critiquing the pro-Palestinian position, which I find to be better argued and somewhat more grounded in reality (though still ultimately wrong). 

In the rush to pick a side in the emerging Israeli-Palestinian conflict, I wonder if anyone in the online right has actually wargamed the collapse of Israel and thought about what it would imply for white people and our culture. I believe that the mad dash to support the Palestinians has its roots in a fundamental conflation of the Jewish Question and the Israeli Question. While the two are definitely connected and indeed - in fact, I’d say that the Israeli Question is a subset of the Jewish Question - they refer to two different classes of problems presented to Western societies. 

The nationalist quibble with Israel in particular is that Israeli misbehaviour in the Middle East creates enemies for the West and shakes loose millions of displaced refugees which then flood into Europe, that the US taxpayer is forced to foot the bill for Israeli militarism and the upkeep of the Israeli state and that the Israeli state has a degree of influence over American and European foreign policy which results in dangerous quagmires such as the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, costing white nations untold blood and resources for no tangible gains. 

However, the nationalist quibble with Jews isn’t limited to Israel and its influence on Western foreign policy, but rather a criticism of Jewish cultural subversion, of the Jewish influence on Western mores and memes which lead to a weakening of white people’s already weak instincts for exclusion of racial outsiders. It is true that Israeli adventurism in the Middle East drives waves of refugees towards Europe, but this would not hurt Europe in the slightest if Europe could find the wherewithal to shut the gates. We see waves of refugees even from countries in Africa, which have never been attacked by Israel, yet they still come and Europe takes them in. What about Latin American immigrants to America? Did Israeli militarism shake them loose too? Rather, Europe and America open their borders to the world in part due to Jewish subversion of our cultures and their willingness to perpetuate the Nuremberg Moral Paradigm, under which white people aren’t allowed to form ethnic polities. These open borders then invite the world in, regardless of Israeli military activity. Indeed, we could more readily blame Israeli NGOs for ferrying nonwhite immigrants to Europe, but in this respect, the Israeli NGOs are hardly unique. As I write these words, German, French, British and even Italian NGOs, all with varying degrees of Jewish involvement are ferrying African migrants to the Italian coast, unleashing them on Europe. While these activities can be all laid squarely at the feet of Jews, none of them require Israel in order to continue. Of all of the issues that nationalists have with Jews, the Israel question seems to be secondary. 

I want to emphasise that I am not suggesting that white nationalists “support Israel” in any way, even under a pan-nationalist, “nationalism for all” type approach. While I appreciate that approach’s value as a first offer that needs to be made to the Jewish people, given that white people are fair-minded and will not support any group or ideology that doesn’t follow the golden rule (do unto others…) and doesn’t believe in reciprocity, we must nevertheless understand that Jews do not treat Israel as their homeland but rather as a pirate’s cove to which they can retreat if they’re ever caught or run afoul of the goyim one time too many. Indeed, it appears to me that the destruction of the state of Israel may exacerbate the existing problems with Jews, by a) displacing Israeli Jews who’d probably settle in the West, b) reinforcing the victimhood article of Jews which has been weakening as the holocaust narrative rapidly becomes old hat in the West and c) and intensification of Jewish subversive activities vis a vis the West as a form of revenge against the ungrateful goyim who left them hanging. 

Now, this is not to say that we should give a shit about the destruction of Israel, nor should we oppose it, but it does mean we should make the reassertion of the European right to self-determination a priority, seeing as it how it can be used to eliminate the far greater problem of Jewish subversion in the West. Or briefly, worry less about the what the Jews in Tel Aviv are doing to their fellow brown people and more about the Jews in New York, in Brussels, in Washington, Frankfurt, London and Paris are doing to white people.
