The Importance of Struggle

The Importance of Struggle

Futurist Lab

To start with I'd like to talk about the importance of struggle. Starring in this talk is Notch Peterson, the creator of minecraft. Notch is important to mention because his mistakes serve as a great example of the importance of struggle.

This the the video I reference throughout the article.

The first thing I'd like to talk about, is how everyone is given a struggle. Now, they usually have some choice in what that is, and in Notch's story, he chose to be a game developer. His greatest struggle, was, in fact minecraft. He spent most of his time laboring over it, and dealing with the community that formed around it, as a result he grew quite stressed. Now, as a result of this stress he experienced, he chose to sell minecraft, he chose to sell his greatest struggle in life, for billions of dollars, which, he thought would make things better. As a result of him selling his struggle for material gain, he actually experienced quite the opposite. His manor was huge, but lonely, and decrepit. His lifestyle was that of a hermit, and it caused him great depression. Would you want to live like notch? What you can learn from him is that struggle ultimately brings purpose, and although his struggle was not the nicest one, it brought him a lot more happiness than no struggle. Therefore do not ever forsake the place of struggle in your life. And that brings me onto my second point.

Secondly, the goal of Notch's struggle wasn't particularly a righteous one. He spent his life hunched over a computer screen, typing away his life, for the sake of mass approval. And therein lies one of the chief issues in his own struggle, and why he was not able to find true happiness in it either; for it had no soul. Therefore, the next point I have to make, is that your struggle must be serving to serve a higher purpose. The ultimate struggle is simply to struggle. Any other focus aside from your struggle, such as reaping earthly bounties or pursuing societal approval leads to inevitable unhappiness. Notch, therefore, was performing his struggle to gain approval, which is why he found community backlash so stressful, and ultimately sold it for material gain. In the end, he should've been in his struggle for the sake of his struggle, and nothing else.

The third point I'd like to make is the importance of moderation, both in your struggle, and in the time away from your struggle. If you struggle too long without a break you get stressed out, and tire of struggle, which is the only way to gain true happiness, and therefore you fall into misery. If you stay away from your struggle for too long, such as when you play video games and do nothing else for months, maybe even years, you start to get a feeling of being soulless, and you feel lost, hopeless, and ultimately depressed. As a result of both of these potential outcomes, one should seek to find a healthy balance in between the two, lest he fall into misery and lose sight of true happiness, that is, struggle.

The ultimate goal of all struggle in of itself should be to further truth, and your race. When you knowingly struggle for falsehood, it leads to misery, and self hate. Look at the jews, are they not filled with self hate, and writhing in their own misery? Does the world that they seek to create through their subversive struggle not reek of misery? That, is why it is necessary to struggle for truth, and a better world, for your race and no other race, the northern race. Everyone has a role to fill, be it lemmings or capable leaders, and no struggle, no matter how big or how small is important in the future of the northern race.

To wrap things up, I'd like to say that if notch had worked on minecraft for the sake of minecraft, and found a healthy balance, he would have far more of a sense of purpose today. Of course, not as much as he have had if he chose to struggle for his race, but struggle for the sake of struggle as long as it isn't malicious, does grant a sense of purpose, and therefore, happiness. Instead he forsook his struggle, sold it for material gain, and sunk into the depths of misery. So I would like to say to you, find a struggle, the best struggle is one for your race and people, which also yields the most happiness. The ultimate goal in life is to struggle, and the ultimate goal of struggle is to better your race, better yourself, and to further truth.
