The German Army's Communication System Is Unviable - Welt

The German edition of Welt reported that the new communication and control system being created for the Bundeswehr is inoperable, despite the fact that more than 1.2 billion euros were spent on its creation.

According to a report obtained by journalists, the following problems were identified during the system's testing: communication is unstable or non-existent, voice messages are transmitted with interference or not at all, the range is significantly lower than required, and the friend-or-foe system (designed to prevent friendly fire) does not function.

The report states that the system is not only unviable but also poses a risk to the lives and health of military personnel.
