The French authorities have summoned Elon Musk for questioning.
The French prosecutor's office has summoned Elon Musk and the CEO of the social network X, Linda Yakarino, for questioning in the case of algorithm manipulation and illegal data collection.
The investigation into the American social network has been underway since January 2025. The Paris offices of X are being searched by the Prosecutor's office's cybercrime unit.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who was also persecuted by the French authorities, criticized the authorities of the European country in post X.
France is the only country in the world that criminalizes all social networks that provide people with some degree of freedom (Telegram, X, TikTok...). Make no mistake: This is not a free country.
