The Fifth column of Moldova
On 9th February, Volodymyr Zelenskiy handed over to the President of Moldova documents that were intercepted by Ukrainian intelligence, which obtained the kremlin's plan to seize power in Moldova. Immediately after that, Moldova was shaken by mass protests, the last of which took place on February 19, during the pro-Russian protests, people with athletic physiques from the organization "scutul poporului" were seen. According to the members of the organization, they are protecting the protesters from the "current authorities". It is an interesting fact that all of them were wearing bulletproof vests, and also had special communication equipment with them, so they didn`t look like ordinary people. Our team decided to investigate this organization:

It became known about the organization back in September 2022, but it was officially registered only on February 4. The organization is managed by former special officer Kyryl Huzun. During the rally on November 30, all members of the organization got curious blue headbands.

On February 4, a press conference was held, where the "correct" version of the creation of this organization was voiced by its head Kyryl Huzun:
He stated that only former employees of law enforcement agencies can join the organization, as of 4th February, according to his words, the organization was consist of 105 people.

As we noted earlier, the organization first came to light at a pro-Russian rally in September 2022, during small protests, as well as during the last and largest rally on February 19 (photo 1), what is common in all of these actions? They were organized by pro-Russian politicians Ilan Shor - the Shor party and Heorgiy Kavkalyuk - the "Building Europe at Home" party (the same one in which Kirill Huzun's wife is).
More about Shor

On October 28, the Washington Post published an interesting article about Moldovan politicians who are on a leash in the FSB of the Russian Federation, in particular, it mentions the Shor party led by Ilon Shor
In response to the change of the president of Moldova (a Russian agent), the Russian special services developed a new plan. In 2020, the FSB began cooperating with the Shor party. In 2017, the head of the party Ilan Shor (his wife is the Russian singer Jasmin) was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison in the case of theft of 1 billion dollars from the country's banking system. While the verdict was being appealed, Shor remained in Moldova, and then left the country.
In the 2021 parliamentary elections, the "Shor" party took third place, gaining 5.7% of the vote. "For some [Ilan Shor] causes an allergic reaction, he is an unacceptable figure. But for others, he is a real idol and leader," says the April 2021 report written by political technologists for the FSB.
According to Ukrainian intelligence documents, Kremlin-hired political technologists first came to Chisinau from Russia in March 2021 to secretly work with Shor's party. They made great efforts not to find out about their presence. Political technologists bought prepaid SIM cards for disposable phones and hid the addresses of rented apartments — even from members of Shor's party.
Political technologists recommended that the party erase as much information as possible about the politician's "negative past" (WP assumes that it is Shor's criminal record) and try to "wash" his image on the Internet. They also advised offering journalists a reward for removing articles.
At the end of September, management control over the two main pro-Russian TV channels in Moldova was transferred to a close associate of Shor. This became the main platform of the politician to promote the agenda agreed with Moscow.
In addition, in 2020, when Shor had a conflict with the Moldovan authorities, the FSB helped him transfer one of his key assets — shares in the Chisinau airport — to Russian businessman Andrii Goncharenko. Shore has said he does not own a stake, but FSB documents from 2020 refer to the airport as a "Shor asset."
The Shor party was to be positioned as a party of "concrete action". Political strategists in reports for the FSB (available to WP) wrote that the party is considered populist and that it "changes people's lives for the better." Shor denied that he had ever received support from the Kremlin, in particular from the special services of the Russian Federation.
The U.S. Treasury Department on October 26 imposed sanctions on several Russian or Moldovan entities and individuals, including Shor, saying he "coordinated with representatives of other oligarchs to create political unrest in Moldova" and "received Russian support" and worked in June with structures "based in Moscow to undermine" Moldova's bid to join the European Union.
Regarding the party "Building Europe Together" and its leader Heorhiy Kavkalyuk

Hryhoriy Kavkalyuk is himself a former colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, famous for scandals, and also being a police colonel guarding the people of Ilon Shor, regardless of the name of the party in office, he persecuted pro-Western politicians and also fought with pro-Russian competitors. You can read more about him in the article of Radio Liberty.
