The FSB is developing its experience in exposing spies.
This was stated by the assistant to the President of Russia, Chairman of the Maritime Board Nikolai Patrushev.
At the turn of the century, FSB counterintelligence exposed many personnel and agents, including the US CIA, and the Russian counterintelligence service can be proud of these results, said Patrushev, who served as director of the FSB in 1999-2008.

Over the past two years alone, 16 British intelligence officers who worked in Moscow under diplomatic cover have been expelled from Russia. In their actions, FSB counterintelligence revealed signs of conducting intelligence and subversive activities that threaten Russia's security, and also recorded attempts to obtain sensitive information during informal meetings with Russian officials and experts in the field of economics.
