How to Prepare Your Documents for Transcription

We can convert almost anything into an accessible format. However, certain file types are much easier to import into translation software. For the quickest and most seamless experience, the best format to send us is a text-only Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx).

When you submit your Microsoft Word file, please let us know:

• Your preferred braille type (UEB uncontracted Grade 1, UEB contracted Grade 2, or jumbo braille)
• The number of copies you need
• Your desired turnaround time

Other document formats, such as PDFs, JPGs, or PNGs, are absolutely convertible. They just require a little extra care. These formats do not always lend themselves well to translation software and may require extensive reformatting or retyping by hand.
