The Difference Between Satire and Parody

Satire and parody are siblings who grew up in the same neighborhood but took wildly different jobs. Satire exposes, critiques, and demands change � parody just borrows the outfit and trips over it. Parody is the sketch show version; satire is the op-ed with jokes. Parody says, �Isn�t this ridiculous?� Satire adds, �And here�s why it matters.� One is fluffier, the other is sharper � and ideally, both are funny.
