The Complete Guide To Item Upgrader

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to an item are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type it can increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's base stats increase when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all of its leveled up perks (attack, magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to the variety of perks that have to be changed in order to upgrade an item.

The level of an item is a commonly used measurement of power and can be found on all item tooltips. It can also be used to limit how much PvP gear players can use as PvP is restricted at a lower level. Players can see their average level of items on their character sheet.

Utilizing the level of an item can help players evaluate the power of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's a measure of the item's condition and its quality. The level of the item can be used to evaluate items when looking at the inventory of a seller.

The item level can be checked by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the item's full description, including ilvl. It can also be found by hovering an item with the mouse cursor and entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are many theories about how the item level is determined. One theory suggests that the item level is determined by formulas that determine the value of the stats of an item really are. It takes into consideration the fact that various perks have different value and that gems in sockets increase the overall value of the item. This could result in an item's ilvl which is calculated and is often very close to Blizzards actual level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor that determines the ilvl of an item, as the level of the area the item is dropped into can alter the value of its stats, for example by adding a level to its haste rating or crit rating. Items dropped in higher-level instances will have a higher ilvl.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big component of what makes or breaks an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the best." The base stats of a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modifications that are in turn enhanced by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. For example, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with rare levels will be upgraded multiple times with higher prices.

Affixes can also be used to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and are available in all sizes and shapes. The affixes can be used to give items extra damage or special capabilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs) or to distinguish them by adding a name.

All affixes are currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade window pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold as well as items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other rerolling options.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may also choose which of the available stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges of an item are determined by the item level, but all items are guaranteed to have at least one stat within the specified range, unless it is an exclusive item or a God roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could change is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll attachments, or pick which stats to enhance. As with the base equipment, this will have to be done per item and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats simultaneously.

Item Luck

A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the likelihood of item discoveries and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the intensity of these properties. It doesn't, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade item s. It gives the player a chance to upgrade their equipment in earlier waves and is thus more valuable in early game runs than in later ones, because most players value higher weapon scaling and defenses over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chance of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level of the item and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be improved with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) to increase the value of 40 luck or to increase an item's existing Luck up to 140.

Additionally some items, like the Hollow infused weapon can be outfitted to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items can be purchased in the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items can be costly and not every upgrade will be successful. However, there are cash shop items which allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade fails.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%..

The luck of an item can also affect the effectiveness of an upgrade. Every item has an average success rate of 25% and every item with Luck increases that chance by an additional 5percent.

The upgrade overlays for items are rendered above items in the inventory. This can block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
