The Biggest RustTweaker Update
RustTweakerAs you already know, we are working on the RustTweaker 2.0.0 update, which will introduce a new tab: Optimization.
April is coming to an end, so we’ve decided to share more details with you, along with the release date of the largest update in our program’s history.
Redesign
Work on 2.0.0 began with a complete overhaul of all existing interfaces. The application design has become cleaner, interactions with elements are now significantly more convenient and intuitive, some new useful buttons have been added, while others were removed or hidden. The redesign of the application is complete, and in the near future we will also begin a full redesign of the website. It will become more user-friendly, functional, and visually appealing.
Keeping Everything Up to Date
We monitor feedback and FacePunch’s actions daily to keep all application features up to date. Thanks to update 1.4.1, we can modify the logic of tweaks, binds, and settings without updating the program client. Behind the scenes, we continuously update functionality, edit commands, and adjust syntax according to the developers’ changes. For example, in April we updated the logic of the tweaks “Text event notifications”, “Server hitmarker”, “Old item pickup notifications”, and also reworked the binds “Auto laser” and “Auto flashlight”.
Accessibility and Bug Fixes
We have finally completed work on traffic separation across servers, and starting from version 2.0.0, access to our program will be available from anywhere in the world without proxy. If you are currently experiencing issues accessing the website or the application, please be patient — the situation should improve significantly soon.
In addition, we continue to improve the player statistics collection system to eliminate data gaps. We hope that by the release of RustTweaker 2.0.0, this issue will be fully resolved.
Behind the Scenes
Our team is growing, and with it, the requirements for organization — the development process is becoming more complex. Our updates have become so large that we no longer fit into our previous schedule (1 month = 1 update). Starting in May, two more people will join the team. We hope this will speed up development and allow us to return to our usual update schedule.
We are also doing extensive work to build efficient and convenient internal processes: distributing tasks, implementing new tools and rules. These changes require time and adaptation, but in the future they will allow us to work more cohesively and faster.
Optimization and Benchmarks
The main focus of April was the new tab. We are conducting closed tests of built-in benchmarks, implementing and validating new system tweaks, refining the data collection system, and preparing to release the most useful tool for diagnosing, comparing, and improving PC performance in Rust.
Most of the work is already complete, and we are ready to announce the release date of the new version:
