The Best Way To Explain Item Upgrading To Your Boss
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade lets players boost an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For instance an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't change much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. In addition there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. This bonus could be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons can also alter the stats of their base. While this is generally a good thing but it can also have negative effects as well. In the case of items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.
The ability to upgrade armor items to boost their effectiveness. This will increase the defense base of a chest or helm while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it can sometimes reduce its value.
The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their respective values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button with circular arrows within the item menu. item upgrades will roll the item and alter its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or connect to the status of your account.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which makes traversing tough areas a breeze. The more defense your character has, the more value you get out of each point of health you have, so it's important to upgrade your armor as much as possible.
To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and have completed the fountain in question you'll be able to speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. It is possible to use anything between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a large group of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with your friends.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets so that you can escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give an immediate effect. There are five kinds of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their level of effectiveness. Alternatively, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to the potions.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a table or in an chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI which allows you to select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade until you make use of it again or break the bottle in the container it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.
There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For instance splash potions now have a duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item). The table for potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the liquid and replenishes the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potions has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not particularly significant, such as a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded, can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with tokens, gold, or fragments from trinkets that are rare.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new trinket. A player can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the older one, and come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
When the old Trinkets are no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they won't replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when choosing the items to upgrade. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.
Once they have become useless, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
