A 1969 style drive-in movie, with a seductive babysitter who looks more like 30 but tries to pose as a teenager. This movie was probably scandalous for the late 1960's, pushing the envelope trying to get away with nudity and scandal and looking tame by today's standards. It is in B&W, and the print is not particularly high quality. And of course her name is Candy. "You're old enough to do anything you want to do" is her message to George, a DA who has a loveless marriage. And of course a bit with a motorcycle gang was thrown in for good measure. But that was to throw in a plot line for a movie that is thin on acting, plot and dialogue. Besides motorcycle gang movies were popular back then. And Candy is charming in her role. But it is quaint, and funny at the same time, and a look back at what was done in the 1960's to push the envelope. It is like opening a time capsule, which is why I am giving it four stars. Too many today take sex and nudity for granted in R rated films, but films like the Babysitter is where that all started. Yes, it is absurd, stupid, comical, predictable and inane. But it is not a waste of time.

Ok people this movie is to be used with your fast-forward very liberally . Its a bad movie with out a doubt that's why you would watch it . For the awful factor . I suggest stopping at scenes where the garage band is playing for that sixties vibe . Skip the biker /Manson family murder trip but stop ,for those that like it , for the nudity. Yes it's porn but for the most part it's wholesome porn . Even the bondage stuff seems so quaint . Compare to what your about 4 clicks away from today it's almost refreshing . In the old days you had to rap the sex in a "compelling story " to get past censors but now a days , story- smory ,who needs it . It's a lost art - getting non actors to flop their way through scenes so the real movie -naked bodies, can be shown . Add black mail , lesbianism , murder ......there is a reason that Hollywood was known as Tinsel Town . Thousands of these type of movies were made and , it appears , Amazon has bought all of them.

well this was different, i was just expecting a movie about a babysitter who seduces her boss, but it turned out it was a bit more than that, i cant even tell you the last time i watched a movie that was in black and white. it was okay, its an old movie, so it was kind of ridiculous at times but i'd say if you got some time to spare with nothing to watch, give it a chance. seems weird when it starts, but it picks up

THIS IS LIKE STEPPING BACK IN TIME TO THE END OF THE 60'S & THE 70'S IN SAN FRANCISCO WHERE ALL THE FREE LOVE STARTED AND THE HIPPIE MOVEMENT PROSPERED. VERY REALISTIC FOR THAT TIME PERIOD. NOT A SOPHISTICATED FILM BUT THE STORY WAS WELL PORTRAYED AND PRACTICAL. BLACK AND WHITE AND THE SCREENPLAY SHOW HOW OLD IT IS BUT I LIKED IT BECAUSE OF THE REALISM IN THAT TIME PERIOD.

Not a bad movie. The young girl was a tramp. Usually it is the older man taking advantage of the young girl or naive young women as happened to me. She came onto him.

It is very formulaic and the plot is quite thin. Nice people but no energy or character connection by the actors. Disappointing.
