But where do you start, what to do and where to are a few of the questions simmering in the minds of anyone who did not choose to follow a career as an interior designer.

The key is not to care about the first one with the big decisions, you may be able to save you time and money by avoiding scrap and rework.

1 - YOU'RE WELCOME
It will be in your living room and you should be good to come into your home. Keep this in mind at all stages of the planning, we will help you to imprint your own style in the choice of furniture, colours and objects for the home.
TIP: Make a list of all of the things that is important to you in your environment (ex: portraits, paintings, tv, chairs for visitors, furniture for books, etc.). If you share your space with your loved one, share the experience, and then create a list together in the search for the items that are essential and common to both parties. Collect pictures from magazines or the internet, and set up a panel, with ideas and elements that you can identify with. To realise the ideas it is essential to reduce the anxiety generated by uncertainty.

2 - IN THE LIVING ROOM, TALKING, WORKING, EATING,...
It was already the time for a living and could not afford to have only one purpose. Take advantage of this flexibility, modern way to give your living room features that will make your space more suited to their needs. Don't be afraid to let go of a dining table if you do not have the habit of providing dinner at their house very often.
Also, it is not a problem to reserve a space for a private office, an art studio, a cozy corner for reading, or even a space on the toys for their children. The important thing is not to waste any cc's even with the spaces in which they will settle.
HINT: by Considering your own lifestyle, you can list all the features that you would like to have in your living room. Don't be afraid to be daring, to be honest with yourself. Browse to select the functions of your habits to take better advantage of the environment.

3 - LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION
The book is a little bit of time to pay attention to two details that are fundamental, but they are often forgotten by people who are not expert in interior design: lighting and electrical outlets. It's okay if you don't know how to use the natural light from the windows, to give harmony to the environment, however, you need to get away from the community for placing on the tv, just on the wall lit up the room.
We can't always change the layout of the furniture in order to avoid this kind of problem (especially in rooms far too small), but keep this in mind can help you anticipate difficulties in estimating the expenses, and even to come up with creative solutions from the very beginning.
The other important detail is the power points and other outlets such as cable television and a telephone. All of a sudden you program to put on the sofa, on the only wall that has no outlet to the cable in the tv, and guess what, the sofa is not centered on the wall where you just put your heart (you've got a pain in my head?)
TIP: Before you go out looking for furniture, you know exactly where you are on the take. It is worth to make a rough sketch of the floor plan of your room, so you won't forget!

4 - IT'S ALL ON THE SAME RULER
It is a mistake that is quite common to rely on looking at the time of designing the environment. When we are faced with an empty room, we have a feeling that it is bigger than it actually is. Added to this is the false illusion that the furniture is in a store that is less than what it really is (due to the high ceilings and the walls are far away).
As a result, the sofa, for example, there may be a lot higher than you expect (or just don't fit!). In order to avoid this pain in the head, before heading out to hunt for the furniture of your dreams, be sure to measure your space and estimate the maximum size of each individual piece that you can put on to your living room.
TIP: There are numerous applications for smartphones and tablets that can help you out with this task! It's worth checking out on the website or in the online store of your smart phones, apps, decoration, and architecture. Some of these even have to measure walls, corners, and curves, without the need to suffer. A good example of this is in the app, RoomScan.
Regardless of the little things in the virtual world, it is not up to pick up a tape measure and make markings on the areas where you hope to finish up the sofa and get a coffee table in the centre, for example). You may be surprised at the space it all takes up.

5 - MY ROOM, MY LIFE
Now, don't forget the most important thing! (No, it is not yet on the wall color or the style of the sofa. The most important thing to remember is that you are going to live in the living room. This means that you can make a design amazing, small, and they give you a room in this incredibly spacious, however, in contrast to the living-room of the magazine, your life is just a bowl, a picture frame, and the six books (all the same size).
The magic of the photographs, and display cases lies in the fact that each and every element of the composition is ready for you to give a harmony to the whole. Unless you are a person who is highly organized, thorough, and unattached to material goods, be sure that your “things” they need to have a place for you! An example of a very banal, in the case of remote controls in general don't care about in order to determine a place for them, and, in the end, we're always on the hunt for the controls!
HINT: Look at your current room, or to think of the rooms in which you have lived. What objects did you notice that they are kind of “out of place”, and you know that you will not be able to dispose of them (such as the remote control)? What specific needs do you have, and the need to plan for (are you a compulsive collector of Dvd's? So, get set to have plenty of room to add to your collection!).

With these tips, you will be more secure in venturing out into the world of interior design because they will know how to evaluate what is most important to you and, more importantly, what it is not! You don't always it is the trend at the moment meets your needs and style, and you don't always need new furniture to repaginate a room. But with a plan and with a clean mind, you will surely make a good choice.
