[Part 1]
The First Descender: Phanes He is the first external descender that invaded the current Teyvat system. Though, the current safe haven that humanity resides in is her doing, and she radically loves humanity. In the war against the Second Descender she sacrificed herself to create the current Teyvat."
The Second Descender: Nibelungen The more accurate words to describe him is the Nibelungen who returned from external worlds and obtaining forbidden knowledge. From Nahida SQ II and Apep's words, the forbidden information caused destruction in Teyvat, which paves the way for the 'false sky and samsara system' as well as the sacrifices made by the 1st and 3rd Descenders to save Teyvat
The Third Descender: Abyss Twin Waking up before the protagonist, and has already allianced with the First Descender Phanes under the witness of the 3 Moon Sisters which are 3 shades before any samsara. (Shade of Space didn't come so that's foreshadowing), 30 days after, the world was destroyed, and along with Phanes, used the 7 great authorities of ancient Dragons and the Abyss Twin's power to cleanse to create the 7 sky nails to purify the leylines. The Traveler also has this power, seen in the Dvalin part of the story when he purified the tears. Then, the Abyss Twin lost their Descender identity, wandering in Teyvat, after experiencing some samsaras and cycles, learning his emergence in the world in the Caribert quest and the truth of fate.
What I know is that there have been 4 samsaras and the current Teyvat is in the 5th samsara. The opening cutscene is between the destruction of the 1st samsara and the reset.
[Part 2]
The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles doesn't want the Abyss Twin to be a recorded Teyvatian in the world tree who will escape Teyvat, so for exchange he let go of the Traveler.
False Sky and Samsara system: In order to escape the fate of being destroyed by extraterrestrial forbidden existences, whenever Teyvat returns to a node in time where it is destroyed, samsara will begin, similar to the Sabzeruz Festival Samsara in the Sumeru Archon Quest. Everything returns to the starting point of what fate plans for the world. The so-called "erosion" that Zhongli and Morax described is about how long living beings have their souls be subject to endless torture, slowly turning insane. It also has uses in recording astrological fate, in which Mona's fortune telling talks about how the fake sky links to the world tree, so Scaramouche using gnosis powers (or Niwa's heart?) to change the understanding of the world tree is also from this fact.
All Character Constellations are recording the false sky, plus, Venti knows about experiences with Traveler in previous samsaras. Life, death, time artifacts, the flowers, feather, and sands represent the 3 moon sisters, (The other shades mentioned previously.)
Heavenly Principles: Set by the radical and human-loving phanes, where all samsaras MUST closely adhere to fate, and nothing shall undermine the authority of Celestia. No errors must be made or else fate will plan and destroy everything. Because it was too extreme, 2 of the moon sisters left, and the only one remaining is the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles. The nations destroyed by going against the Heavenly Principles will be sunk beneath the ground, which is where the ruins come from.
[Part 3]
Humanity: A completed race with huge potential created by Phanes via the Primordial Sea. Due to the core of Gnosticism, humans with great attributes are also must-have individuals who are needed to maintain the whole fate-samsara system. This led to all kinds of ways and systems that power (As in fighting power) is developed.
Archons: Creations from primal essence given archon life from when Phanes died and dissoluted. Every archon's underlying purpose inherits in some way the base line of Phane's love for humans.
Allogenes: Individual humans with great potential whose attributes are recognized by leylines. When they become recognized by visions, they will fuse into the leylines and become part of it when they die, helping maintain the propagation of fate. Vanessa is an example of this. (The Leaker) I'm predicting that this will be of utmost importance later on, and will be a central theme of the game. Fusing into the leylines, will make you become a '4th dimensional being' who exists everywhere, anytime, as a part of Teyvat itself. Consider the Shackles of the Dandelion Gladiator. (Mondstadt weapon mat.)
The Abyss: Allogenes who've escaped the confines of Teyvat's false sky, those who've manifested their constellation into existence, escaped capture from the leylines. Using Tartaglia as an example, because he has the potential of becoming an abyssal fighter, he was taken by Skirk to become part of The Foul. (BTW, in CN, The Foul is translated from Absolutely Nefarious Knights) The reason his vision becomes faulty is also where Ad Astra Abyssosque comes from. (To the Stars and the Abyss) Plus, if Neuvil killed the whale, then Childe would also be dead. Skirk was saving him there. Skirk's birth is very absurd. The whale breaking Childe's Constellation in official trailers, and his 'Tusk of Monoceros Caeli' is already evidence for this.
[Part 4]
Since 1.0 Genshin, Albedo's master Rhinedottir and Nibelungen has had a connection, their references IRL are all from the fable of Nibelungen's Ring. In the Hexenzirkle trailer, her introduction foreshadowed [something regarding a teacup dragonhead?] And she looks down on humans.
Sustainer of Heavenly Principles: Goddess of the Red Moon (The remaining full moon in the night sky.) Asmoday, one of the 4 shades, representing death and judgment. This is the shade of Death represented by the Feather artifact. The only shade who remained on Celestia after all the samsara cycles, and enacting the heavenly principles. I heard from leaks that if she's involved with death, then she's going to appear in Natlan which involves resurrection and rebirth.
Istaroth: Shade of Time, Goddess of the Abyssal Moon: The representation of infinity in the four shades. The shade of time and life both are not satisfied with the enactment of heavenly principles, and descended to Teyvat to help out humans. They first arrived in Enkanomiya, and then created Barbatos the wind spirit by splitting him out of her body, and conducting the ritual of time ad the Thousand Winds Temple. She will have a purpose later on. Then, she entered into the spiral, which became the player's own Blessing of The Abyssal Moon, and she helps humans enter the leylines.
Baal: Shade of Life, Goddess of the Welkin Moon: Shes the one that gives you 90 primos every day, representing dreams, the true form of Raiden Makoto, and the power source for Raiden Ei. She entered the human world with Istaroth, splitting apart into the Raiden sisters, descending on Inazuma. In the selection of the 7 Archons, EI died, and when Makoto became the Electro Archon, she used her authority to revive Ei, and then died in Khaneri'ah. She left the authority of the Sacred Sakura behind, and together with Istaroth, saved Inazuma 500 years ago.
[Part 5]
Shade of Void, Paimon, The Starry Skies. A creation after the foundation of the whole false sky system. She is the life constellation that represents all humans and records their fate. The representative of the seven elements, and the power of the human realm. She has direct connections to the leylines, and has a connection to the Traveler and Abyss Twin in terms of their creations. The Triquetra on her body represents fate.
Columbina, The Maiden: The first seele created to guide humans by Phanes, the first singer. The Seelie resting places have design elements that are derived from Columbina's design. She can talk to the dead as well as has some radical powers that are activated under special conditions. She is inspired by Valkeries in Nordic Mythology.
Right now, the Fatui and The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles are not enemies, only obstacles for the Traveler to overcome. The plot in Snezhnaya is still about Teyvat's internal conflicts and the real enemy has not appeared yet. The real climax to Genshin Impact is when Celestia starts, sorta like Gurren Lagen.
The "Old World" is a samsara in which fate is completely sealed. What the Fatui are trying to do is escape this cycle.
