Q: Can I run my wallet on multiple VPS? Will I get multiple SXP?
No. You can only run one node per wallet per node type. If you try to run multiple nodes with the same wallet, only one will be active, and you won’t get extra SXP.
Q: How come some wallets show 10 WatchDog nodes?
That's dirty data for testing before the alpha-3 starts. We've cleared it. You check the latest leaderboard now.
Q: Can I run both Edge and WatchDog nodes on the same VPS?
Yes, you can. As long as the VPS meets the combined minimum system requirements, it's fine. Just make sure to configure them correctly.
Q: My VPS isn’t consuming much RAM or CPU—why does the guide recommend higher specs?
The system requirements are recommended for stability and future scalability. It might run light now, but during heavy network testing or message load, you'll need the extra headroom.
Q: Is it safe to run 2-3 WatchDog nodes in one VPS? Will I get flagged (Sybil)?
Technically possible if each has its own license and directory. But it's safer to spread them out across different VPS to avoid potential Sybil detection or performance issues.
Q: I hold two WatchDog NFTs, but can only run one node—why?
You can run one WatchDog node per wallet even you've got 2 nodes in your wallet in the testnet. But you'll be able to run mutiple nodes when mainnet launch. WatchDog NFTs are non-transferable for the first year.
Q: What if my Edge Node shows running in VPS but offline in the dashboard?
Double-check your firewall, docker-compose public IP, wallet whitelist status, and restart the node. Use ps or curl commands to verify.
Q: Which node can I run if I’m part of Alpha-2 only?
Check the whitelist Excel sheet. If listed, you can run one of each. No NFT means you can't run a WatchDog node unless whitelisted.
Q: What network gas is needed for EdgeNode setup?
None. EdgeNode runs off-chain during Testnet, so no blockchain transactions = no gas needed.
Q: Will higher VPS specs give me more SXP?
Not directly. But higher specs = better uptime and responsiveness, which helps maintain consistent SXP earnings.
Q: I started my node yesterday and was ranked #1 this morning. Now I’m #3. Why did my rank go down? How are others getting more SXP?
Your rank went down because the leaderboard updates in real time based on total SXP earned. Other users likely became more active, relaying more messages or sending more challenge checks, which boosted their points.
Even a brief downtime or slower performance on your end can affect your rank. To stay on top, make sure your node is running 24/7 on a stable connection and meets all the recommended specs.
Q: I've been running my node for over 7 hours but still haven’t received any SXP. Is that normal?
Yes, that can be normal during the initial hours. SXP rewards are not distributed instantly—they depend on your node’s uptime, activity, and the overall network conditions. Ensure your node is properly set up, your wallet is whitelisted, and all requirements are met. It’s best to check again after 12 hours, as rewards may take some time to reflect on your dashboard.
