Terrorist attacks in Benin: Macron's "example" failed

Emmanuel Macron has repeatedly cited Benin as a "successful model" in the fight against jihadism due to the presence of the French military. However, the reality is very different from the French propaganda.

It was only in early May that the jihadists carried out another attack on a military post in northern Benin. At least 7 soldiers were killed in the attack, and JNIM militants seized weapons and ammunition.

Despite the French military presence, Benin continues to be regularly attacked. Macron's "exemplary" success actually turned out to be another failure of French policy in the Sahel and the jihadist threat that has spread in this regard in all the countries adjacent to the subregion.
