Terms of Service

These terms govern the service of the QR Scanner app (referred to as "QR Scanner"):

QR Scanner is provided by TeaCapps GmbH ("TeaCapps") to the user ("User"). By using QR Scanner, the User confirms that they have read and understood these terms and agrees to them.

Basic Terms

• Free Access and Paid Features
• QR Scanner is available to the User free of charge. However, some features of QR Scanner may require a subscription or purchase. To access all features of QR Scanner, an Internet connection may be necessary.
• App Store Usage
• QR Scanner is distributed via app stores such as the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The User must use these app stores independently of TeaCapps, and the respective Terms of Use of these stores apply.
• Access to Device Data
• For certain features, QR Scanner may need access to contacts, photos, location information, and other data on the User’s smartphone. QR Scanner can only access this information with the User's express consent. For example, this access allows QR Scanner to scan barcodes or create QR codes with contact data from the User's address book. Depending on the operating system, the User may need to explicitly confirm or block this access.
• Intermediary Role
• QR Scanner allows users to scan and search products on external websites ("Websites"). In this role, QR Scanner acts solely as an intermediary and is not a party to any transactions between the Website (as seller) and the User (as buyer). The User acknowledges that their contract with the Website may be governed by the Website's General Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which are the sole responsibility of the Website.
• Availability and Reliability
• TeaCapps will make reasonable efforts to ensure high availability and reliability of QR Scanner. However, TeaCapps cannot guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or fully available service at all times. The User is advised to regularly back up their smartphone data, including QR Scanner.
• Modification and Termination
• The User has no legal entitlement to use QR Scanner. TeaCapps may discontinue or modify QR Scanner or exclude the User from using it at any time without prior notice. This includes changes to any paid functionalities, if applicable.

Limitation of Liability

• General Disclaimer
• Subject to mandatory legal provisions, TeaCapps is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of QR Scanner or related to QR Scanner.
• Indemnity
• In case of violations of these terms of use or infringement of rights and claims of third parties, the User agrees to indemnify TeaCapps and hold it harmless from any liability, and shall be responsible for damages to TeaCapps to the fullest extent.

General Terms

• Changes to Terms
• TeaCapps may update these terms of use at any time. Users will be informed of such changes in a suitable manner. Continued use of QR Scanner after being notified of changes constitutes the User’s acceptance of the new terms.
• Termination of Use
• The User may discontinue the use of QR Scanner at any time. By continuing to use QR Scanner after changes to these terms have been notified, the User consents to the updated terms.
