Tennis Stringbed — Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no server of ours anywhere.

1. What we collect

Nothing. Tennis Stringbed has no account, no sign-in and no developer server. We receive no personal information, no usage statistics, no crash reports, no advertising identifiers and no purchase records. The app contains no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting software.

2. Where your data lives

What you enter — your rackets, your answers, your consults and the setups you record — is stored inside this app on your device. Version 1.0 keeps it on your iPhone only and copies nothing anywhere. From version 1.1, if iCloud is turned on for your Apple Account, the app also keeps a copy in your own private iCloud database so your rackets and records appear on your other devices. That private database belongs to your Apple Account: only you can read it, Apple stores it, and we operate no server for it and cannot see it. If iCloud is off, nothing leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes the copy on that device, and Settings → "Delete everything" removes your data from the app and from your private iCloud copy.

3. What the app does on your device

All recommendations are computed on your iPhone from tables of racket and string specifications that are built into the app. Nothing you type is sent anywhere to produce an answer, and every answer is worked out on your iPhone.

4. Permissions

None. The app does not use the camera, the photo library, location, contacts, the microphone or notifications, and it never asks for them.

5. Purchases

Tennis Stringbed is free to download; your first settled answer is free; one payment then unlocks unlimited answers permanently. It is not a subscription and nothing renews. Apple handles the payment and the receipt. We hold no purchase record, count nothing and never see your payment details. Your unlock is tied to your Apple Account by Apple and you can restore it at any time from Settings → Restore Purchases.

Version 1.0: when you tap a shop link, your iPhone opens that retailer's own page in Safari. From version 1.1, the link instead opens a plain web search (DuckDuckGo) for the name and thickness of the string you were given, in Safari, plus — when we have one — the maker's own product page. We add no identifiers, no affiliate parameters and no tracking, we show no prices, we earn nothing from it and we receive nothing back. Once you leave the app, the search engine's or the site's own privacy policy applies.

7. Children

The app is rated 4+ and collects nothing from anyone, including children.

8. Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date. A change that adds any collection would also change the App Store privacy label before that version ships.
