The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. mop robot vacuum is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move away if it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong, such as low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are useful, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open up the settings menu of the app where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
