Position summary
The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for program administration and logistical support activities related to summer programming for the FLEX-Ability workshop in Uzbekistan. Logistics Assistant is supervised by the Uzbekistan FLEX Program Hub Director Emily Olmstead and Program Coordinator Aknur Berdigulova. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
· Provide overall support for the implementation of the FLEX-Ability workshop programming and manage administrative and logistical tasks related to FLEX-Ability summer programming,
· Liaise with venues and vendors, compile pricing estimates, and assist with procurement processes
· Work with Program Coordinator and Hub Director to coordinate internal and external communications related to FLEX-Ability workshop programming, including with American Councils staff, program participants, mentors, Government of Uzbekistan ministries, and other program stakeholders
· Provide additional logistics and operational support for the organization of FLEX-Ability workshop programming as required
· Support data collection and monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities related to FLEX-Ability workshop programming as required
· When appropriate, undertakes other related duties assigned by supervisor, including duties in support of other program teams – especially program teams implementing positive youth development and professional development programing
Qualifications
· Relevant work experience; prior experience with project management and/or logistics preferred
· Higher Education is a positive, but not required
· Successfully participated in the FLEX program
· Actively engaged in FLEX alumni activities
· Able to manage time and tasks effectively and meet deadlines consistently
· Demonstrates professional oral and written communication skills in English and Russian or Uzbek
· Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills; excellent attention to detail
· Willing to learn and able to comply with guidelines and procedures, such as for reporting on activities and managing alumni funds
· Proficient in basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, and comfortable learning new programs
· All applicants should be able to provide and maintain work authorization in Uzbekistan.
Compensation
· American Councils for International Education offers a competitive international salary based on local cost of living standards.
· This is a temporary, contract-limited, term-limited position; initial term of employment not to exceed three months;
