Africa

Africa is the only Trivia bot delivering trivia tournaments at the same time in all groups where the bot is present (central command). Tournaments are delivered daily (3 - 4 times) generally in lots of 50 - 60 questions (30 min per tournament, approximately 35 seconds per question). In the end, the ranking is displayed, based on the results collected from all groups (Top 10). Full results, including user history, awards, progress, and many others are available at myafrica.link. The bot removes each question when the time expires, therefore there is no spam. Only the information related to the start of the tournament and the final ranking remains (can be deleted by admins if considered so).

INSTALLATION (for group owners)

• add the bot to your group

• provide the bot with admin permissions (delete messages required)

• type /trivia in the group. The bot will confirm it was added.

• wait for the botmaster to initiate a tournament. Don’t do anything else.

BEHAVIOR (for group owners)

• Once installed, group admins should refrain from any other bot command
• The bot posts pre-information 5 minutes before the tournament start
• The bot delivers one question at a time. The answering time is appx 35 seconds.
• The bot collects the answers after each question
• Bot removes the question when the answering time expires
• Bot lists the TOP10 ranking when the quiz is over (full ranking/stats at myafrica.link)
• If the bot appears suspended (if we restart the bot and sometimes when you manually remove a user or admin) type /trivia again in the group. Bot will resume its work.

• To be fully fair, please be advised, in the final ranking, the bot has myafrica.link (where full results can be accessed) and the telegram address to the group of the creator
• For the processing of results/ ranking purposes, the telegram ID of the users is collected. We do not sell nor give to any third party these records. Also, the Telegram ID of users is not displayed on site.

ANTI CHEATING POLICY (for all)

• The system counts the answers from one group only (don't play the same quiz in multiple groups)
• If you play in multiple groups, be advised the system will only count the answers in the group where you delivered the first answer (timestamp)
• If playing with multiple accounts is detected, all accounts are banned from the group and they are subject to hard-reset in the system (back to 0 points)

TOURNAMENTS RULES (for all)

• A tournament starts at the same time in all groups (central command)
• The bot runs now in over 50 Telegram groups
• Group admins may opt-out (stop the bot from delivering the tournament)
• One user may only answer once. Answers cannot be changed.
• One point is granted for each correct answer
• When the tournament is over the bot displays the Top 10
• The Top 10 takes into account all players from all groups
• 80% of topics are related to English grammar/vocabulary and 20% to general subjects (history, geography, logic, medicine, astronomy, etc)
• Chances to have the same session repeated in less than six months (1 in 300)
• Chance to spot questions with incorrect answers (2 in 100)

• every correct answer to a quiz question is rewarded with 1 (credit) point

• Love of Africa 50 times first ranked
• Lion of Africa 100 times first ranked
• Legend of Africa 150 times first ranked

• Players may access stats, history, ranks, titles, podium, trophies, transactions log
• Players may transfer Fortuna token to their own wallet (polygon blockchain)
• Players may access LIVE results
• Players may set their own motto and set a country flag
• Players may see other player's profile
• Players may complete missions (rewards of 200 rank points)
• Players may attend knock-out tournaments (rewards up to 400 rank points)

MISSIONS

Missions are open for a time slot of 7 to 10 days, once a month (first-month exception for testing purposes). In order to complete a mission, depending on specific, you will need:

Skill is always the first word in the quiz title. (e.g. Biology). There are 23 skills under myafrica.link now. Each correct answer in a quiz will grant you 0.1 skill points in the respective skill. If a user does not have skill points but he/she wants to complete the mission, the user will need to go on the market and buy from those who have that skill, in bigger amounts, and they want to sell that skill points for Fortunas.

📗support of a great person (user needs to rent the services of that person from the market)

📗a certain amount of Fortuna (which you can get by answering quizzes on chat)

When all conditions are met, you will see the [complete mission] button. When pressed, the mission badge will go under your profile, 200 rank points will be added to your ranking, and 20 skill points in the respective skill (mission-related).

TOURNAMENTS

• have 4 stages: qualifiers | quarterfinals | semifinals | finals
• after each stage lower positions are eliminated. Top ones move ahead
• final is played by the top 2 players
• stages are played under myafrica.link
• awards up to 400 rank points, Fortunas and profile badge

EXPECTED DEVELOPMENTS

• Enable Fortuna bot to work in other groups (Fortuna bot sends live results on chat, notifications when quiz leadership changes, notifications about tournaments, winners, users completing missions or getting promotions/awards. At this stage it can only be observed in the group of the creator)
• Listing Fortuna token on decentralized exchanges
