Bennett Russell and Lona Skinner are always at odds. The two are the only members of the debate club at Hemlock Prep Academy but that hasn’t stopped them from clashing over who should get to be president. Both high achievers, the two each want to get into their dream schools: Yale for Bennett and Harvard for Lona.
The two decide to work together to win the state championship and in the process form a partnership full of support and the beginnings of romance.
Kitty Wei, Olivia Hayes, Bree Deringer, and Margot Rivers are an unlikely group of friends bonded by their determination to expose the bullies at their school. Going by the name DGM (short for Don’t Get Mad), the girls are responsible for taking down those who seek to do others harm on their campus. But what starts as their way of fighting back turns into a crime investigation when they’re framed for the murder of one of their targets.
Now DGM not only has to clear their name but they have to do it before everyone finds out who they are.
The series is based on the book series Don’t Get Mad by Gretchen McNeil.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Four young people were shot to death at an apartment complex in northwest Harris County late Saturday, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
At about 11:15 p.m., the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at the Cypress Ridge Apartment Homes near Bammelwood and Kuykendahl.
Upon arrival, deputies found four men with gunshot wounds, according to HCSO Sgt. Greg Pinkins.
Three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
Gonzalez confirmed the victims to be 25, 16, 16, and 19 years old.
Deputies said they found weapons at the scene and are working to figure out who they belong to. ABC13 saw one apartment riddled with bullet holes.
Several witnesses reported seeing several men, including the victims, shooting at each other after an argument, according to investigators.
Neighbors said some of the victims may have lived at the apartment complex.
"(When I heard) gunshots, I just immediately grabbed my girlfriend. We ran to the nearest part of the house, away from the window until it was over. Until I was able to confirm that there were cops out," one resident said. "As soon as I looked out the window, I saw a few bodies on the floor."

Surveillance footage first obtained by ABC13 captured part of the deadly shooting
"At first, I thought it was, you know, fireworks. But I was like, 'No, those are not fireworks. Those are shots.' The last one was around my porch. So my husband comes in and tells me there's a dead body right here. I was like, 'What?' So I come out, and I start calling 911," resident Gladys Martinez said.
Pinkins said there was not a gathering or party during the shooting.
No motive or suspect(s) information has been determined and investigators urges anyone with information to contact the Homicide unit at 713-274-9100 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
