As a child, Samantha Owens would dream of being a vet to 'fix broken animals' while brushing her My Little Pony's rainbow mane.
But her childhood dreams were shattered when aged just 13, she was pushed into prostitution - and dumped in strange houses with predatory paedophiles - by her 'best friend' Amanda Spencer.
For three years, she was systematically raped, often multiple times a day, by much older men at 'parties' in Sheffield.
Amanda plied her with alcohol and drugs while keeping the money paedophiles paid to abuse Samantha.
At just 13, Samantha had not yet reached puberty when she was raped for the first time.
But despite her child's body, she remembers men telling her she was 'too old' for them.
One man viciously raped her after she told him that she was just 11-year-old.
She was so small and undeveloped that she was ripped open by the repeated rapes, often left screaming in pain afterwards, yet the horrifying abuse contiued.
In her new book Pimped , which lifts the lid on an infamous sex ring in Sheffield, Samantha remembers: "With my head down I was led into the bedroom by my wrist, only daring to glance up through my hair once the door was closed.
"I winced as he lay on top of me, his weight crushing my chest, but I didn’t dare tell him.
"How could I? I knew by now there was no use fighting it. My scrawny frame would be no match for the various older men who were skulking around the house.
"Instead I lay in silence as he tugged at my knickers. His stubbly beard was rough and itchy against my face and I noticed he had a hole in one of his bottom teeth. He was disgusting and I shivered as he writhed around on top of me, goosebumps crawling up my arms.
"The drunken haze I was in helped my mind to drift and I squeezed my eyes shut, willing the nightmare to be over.
"Finally on my own, I curled myself into a ball. I could hear footsteps outside the bedroom door, laughter echoing around the house. I flinched, praying they wouldn’t come in.
"I was just a child and I had no idea where I was, having been directed to the godforsaken place hours earlier. "
Samantha said that she went on jobs for Amanda almost every day but would only be given £20-£80 each time while Amanda pocketed the rest.
She remembers how Amanda, who was two years older than her, once said: "‘You’re so young, Sammy, and the younger you are, the more money you get.’"
"I had thought about what it would be like to lose my virginity, imagining it on a beach somewhere, with candles and roses. It was childish but, at thirteen years old, I held onto that fantasy," she said.
But instead, she was brought in an alcoholic haze to a house full of strange, much older men, where she was abandoned by Amanda and her horror began.
Samantha said that many of the men she met were paedophiles, and she remembers how one man "grabbed at the flat skin on my chest and I think he liked the fact that I didn’t have breasts.
"‘How old are you?’ one guy asked me. He had pinned me down on the bedroom floor of a random house Amanda had sent me to.
"‘Sixteen,’ I muttered. His ugly face was inches away from mine and I squirmed, trying to look anywhere but directly at him.
"‘Liar,’ he sneered, smiling and grabbing at the cup of my bra. I still had no breasts to fill it but Amanda had given it to me to wear. ‘I know you’re not sixteen.’
"‘Right,’ I admitted without looking at him. ‘I’m thirteen.’ I didn’t know what difference it would make knowing my real age but the man still wasn’t satisfied with my answer and he grabbed me by the shoulders.
"‘No you’re not,’ he protested. ‘You’re younger.’ I turned to stare back at him.
"‘I’m eleven,’ I lied, and his evil grin made me feel sick. I knew he thrived off the idea of me being young. Paedophile, I thought to myself, as he raped me.
"I was so small that he tore me and I lay with my eyes squeezed shut as the excruciating pain coursed through me."
Samantha remembers another man hitting her in the face face and making her call him 'Daddy' while he raped her.
She said that many men were rough, with one repeatedly punching the floor by her head as he raped her.
She said: "As he raped me, he punched the floor next to my head. His fist was so close that I could feel his knuckles graze my ear as they smacked the floor with a thud.
"Scared, I lay frozen, terrified to move in case he hurt me. He thumped the floor over and over again, and each time I winced as his hand moved closer.
"My crotch tore and I knew I would be in agony for days. Afterwards I curled up alone on the laminate floor, dabbing the tears from the corners of my eyes.
"All of the days were starting to blur into one. I was sore all of the time, so I got as drunk as I could to mask the pain.
"I’d get so intoxicated that it wouldn’t be until the next morning that the pain would hit me like a ton of bricks and I’d writhe in agony, wondering what had happened to me the night before.
"A lot of the time I was too drunk to remember what was happening but there were some nights I wished I could forget.
"For three years my supposed best friend took me to places around Sheffield to be abused.
"I was passed from house to house like a toy and, with nowhere else to turn, I came to expect the treatment I received."
And although Samantha said that Amanda never physically forced her to have sex, she manipulated her emotionally, calling her 'sister' and making the vulnerable, lonely child feel like she was part of her 'tribe.'
This control was so absolute that Samantha remembers once, while she was at a house with Amanda: "out of nowhere, this guy grabbed me and forced me onto the floor. I lay still as he raped me on the floorboards, thinking over and over again how proud Amanda would be of me."
Samantha later realised that Amanda was her pimp, not her friend. And while jailed for stealing baby clothes, she met another of Amanda's victims - and vowed to get justice for them all.
Police built up a case and Amanda, now 26, was jailed for 12 years in 2014, having been found guilty of 14 counts of arranging or facilitating child prostitution, and two counts of causing or inciting child prostitution.
In April 2017, Spencer was served an additional sentence of three years for four counts of arranging or facilitating child prostitution between 2005 and 2012.
Four men, Taleb Bapir, and three brothers Christopher, 23, Matthew, 25, and Shane Whiteley, 30, all of Hackenthorpe, were also jailed for their roles in the sex ring.
But Samantha, now 25 and a mum-of-two, pulled through, and wants to use her experiences to help other people who have been groomed know that they are not alone.
She lives with her partner and their two little boys, who she is hugely protective of.
“I just hope I don’t have a daughter as I really don’t want a girl,” Samantha told Sun Online .
“I know men and boys get abused but I’d be absolutely terrified. I would never let her out of the house.”

A TOP young swimmer has been disqualified - after her swimsuit gave her a massive wedgie and showed off her bum.
A poolside referee ruled that Breckynn Willis, 17, was revealing too much of her backside after she won the 100m freestyle in a school contest.
Willis was reportedly ‘heartbroken’ when she was told of her disqualification as she climbed out of the pool.
Media in Anchorage, Alaska, US, claim the referee said the girl’s swimsuit “was so far up I could see butt cheek touching butt cheek.’’
Some other coaches even said the teen intentionally hiked up her swimsuit to make it more revealing.

But swimming coach Lauren Langford said “We have a term for it — it’s called a suit wedgie, and wedgies happen.
“It’s uncomfortable. No one’s going to walk around that way intentionally.”
Officials have now been accused of racism and sexism, as Willis is the only mixed-race girl on the team – and was the only swimmer to be disqualified.
Langford said: “All the girls are wearing suits that are cut the same way.
“And the only girl who gets disqualified is a mixed-race girl with rounder, curvier features.”
School bosses have since confirmed that Willis was wearing an approved official swimsuit — the same one all her teammates wore.
She had also worn it in two previous races earlier in the meet and was not sanctioned in any way.
The swimmer also returned to the pool in the same swimsuit after her disqualification to swim in a team relay and received no penalty.
Langford said Willis was “heartbroken” after the event on Friday night to think people believed she deliberately hiked up the sides of her swimsuit.
“The fact that she’s been told she’s intentionally trying to draw this sexual attention has really crushed her,” Langford said.
Willis’ mother Meagan Kowatch has told media in Alaska that the same judge also criticised her other daughter and Breckynn’s younger sister Dreamer for also revealing too much of her buttocks at an earlier swim meet.
The disqualification was later overturned by the Alaska School Activities Association, the governing body of Alaska high school sports.
The school district, in a written statement, said the decision to single out the girl for a uniform violation was “based solely on how a standard, school-issued uniform happened to fit the shape of her body.”
“We cannot tolerate discrimination of any kind, and certainly not based on body shape,” the district said.

Kim’s 23-year-old daughter received mass backlash after she tweeted: “This is not political- I don’t care how I / you feel about Trump as a politician but he is a PERSON. 'Running' the country.
"He has feelings like all of us. Do you think someone wants to do the best they can when they’re constantly belittled/bullied for everything they do/say?"
Brielle doubled down after fans called on her to apologize, writing: “No. I genuinely feel bad for him. And ANYONE WHOS BULLIED. No one regardless of what they’ve done deserves that. Have a heart.”
Many reminded her that Trump had called the pandemic a "hoax" and called on her to consider how his actions have affected millions of Americans.
Another disappointed fan slammed the TV personality and suggested she had "no actual principles".
“Brielle's the type of person who would show sympathy for Hitler because the allies called him mean names," they tweeted.
“In other words, she's an airhead who practices fake sympathy and has no actual principles.”

Following rigorous competition and more than 130,000 voters, the World’s Most Beautiful Vagina Contest anointed a champion this week. It was a strange, difficult-to-gauge event—but that’s why organizers turned to scientists to tell us what it all means.
U.K. resident Nell, 27, won first place and $5,000 in the pageant with a vulva beauty ranking of 7.7 out of 10. Jenny, 23, of Bavaria, Germany, took second place with a 7.3; and Anita, 20, from Hungary, came in third. They each earned $2,500 and $1,250, respectively.
The contest was sponsored by Brian Sloan, who is also the manufacturer of the Autoblow 2 . It’s known as “the first truly realistic alternative to traditional pleasure products for men,” according to the its website .
These winners will also be flown out to Los Angeles, where their vulvas will be 3D-scanned to later be reproduced for the Autoblow device.
Sloan contracted a group of data scientists to analyze the contest’s findings for their scientific implications. The data was then compiled in “ The Vulva Paper .”

The Vulva Paper’s website says scientists “used the contest data to assess the diversity in vulval morphology and voters’ preference for different morphologies.” A total of 182 women participated in the contest; 110 entries were examined for the study (if measurements could not be taken from the photo, the entry was not considered).
The scientists viewed each entry on a 15-inch computer screen, zooming in “until the genitalia were easily measured using a screen ruler,” read the paper .
They measured labia majora length, labia minora length, and clitoral hood length.
Finally, the scientists rated the complexity of the labia minora; they used the three categories of rugosity (smooth, moderate, marked) to do so. To prevent vaginal bias, the same person also conducted all of these measurements. The scientists later used this research to classify the contest’s entries into six different categories of “vulval morphology.”

As far as methodology is concerned, a random assortment of entries was sent to each voter, who was then asked to rate the vulva pictured on a scale from 1 to 10. These voters were only able to rank one photo at a time, but could also vote on an unlimited number of entries. The scientists compiled 2,766,671 ratings from 134,707 contest voters.
“To reduce individual biases, we centered each voter’s ratings using their mean and standard deviation. This allowed us to reflect the preferences of voters on the same scale,” read the study .
According to the paper , each voter rated 21 photos, on average. Each vulva also received 15,285 votes, on average.
The study also found that “roughly 51% of voters preferred the first two classes of non-protruding, simple labia. The other 49% favored the four more complex vulva classes.”
“As expected from the rankings that we saw at the country and local levels, Class 1 vulvas are preferred over the others more often. But the combined percentages of voters who preferred more complex classes of vulvas far outweighed those who preferred the simplest style.”
The winners’ photos, however, were not included in the study—having been among the participants whose photos were not able to be considered. Moreover, the “doggy style” posture featured in these entries made it difficult for the scientists to complete the necessary measurements.
“Indeed, pictures depicting contest entrants in a doggy style position obtained ratings 2 points higher on average (p <0.001) than others. Other features, like piercings in the clitoral hood, didn’t affect the ratings,” read the study .
So basically, the “doggy style” photos generated “influential excitement” among the contest’s voters—an important competitive advantage for all future entrants to consider.
