We purchased this for our 7 year old daughter. I love that the handlebars are adjustable. She currently uses it on the lowest setting. The tallest setting is about an inch or so shorter than the handlebars on a Razor A5 lux (just sharing for reference). In our family, we have a few of the Razor A5 lux scooters and one La Scoota scooter. The kicksy scooter compares very well to these other, more expensive scooters. I love the lower price tag of the Kicksy. They have great color options. The scooter is great quality. We would definitely buy another Kicksy scooter. Highly recommend!

I’ve got three kiddos and we have some other named brand scooters that rhyme with “laser” 😁 I bring that up because those scooters have lasted for 8plus years with out any maintenance on them. The kicksy scooter is not only well built but the larger wheels make riding quite a bit smoother on our asphalt roads. I occasionally ride it and I am about 6’ and 180lbs and the scooter holds me no problem. I don’t collapse the scooter much, but if needed it could be done rather easily. I’ve had the scooter for a few months so let’s see how my review changes (if it does) after a year or two.

My soon to be 5yo daughter has outgrown her Kicksy scooter w/ the foldable seat (toddler version) and has mentioned she wanted a big girl scooter. Since she is also learning how to skateboard I thought this was an easy decision. I was highly impressed w/ the packaging and the scooter itself. The foldable option is definitely my favorite feature. Easy for transport when we drive out to the park. I’m not comfortable letting her ride it alone just yet since she’s not used to the kick stand, but I’m sure she’ll pick it up soon. In the meantime, my husband and I will enjoy riding it too,... I mean, teaching her how to ride.

Note: I’d say this scooter is appropriate for kids 6+, teens and some adults. My kid just so happens to be a little of a thrill seeker and likes a good challenge. With time, I know she’ll be great on this two wheeler.

So far this scooter has definitely met our expectations. My almost 7-year-old wanted a ‘big kid’ scooter but we were having a hard time finding one that wasn’t too tall and too big. Her old razor scooter was too short, and the small wheels made it unstable. The Kicksy scooter feels very sturdy, well put together, and is easy to fold/unfold (even my 7-year-old can do it). The large wheels and the ability to adjust the handlebars make this scooter ideal for my daughter to ride for a long time. Doesn’t hurt that it looks cool too!
